I think this might've been the best sushi I've ever had. It's a small place, but we got ours to go, parked by the beach, and had a little picnic. We got 3 rolls, and they were all excellent. We'll be back next time we're in town!

Perfect hole in the wall Japanese spot that we love. My husband and I seek out places like these and this specific one hit the ball out of the park. Great quality such friendly service and such extensive menu options. We ordered up a storm from the sashimi plate, miso soups (love the different size options), udon soup, hand rolls, furo maki, and so much more. The cashiers are so sweet and helpful. The menu is quite extensive and can be a little overwhelming and they took the time to help us figure out exactly what to order based on what we described we liked.Kid-friendliness: High chairs, plenty of reasonable options for kids, we got my 15 month old, a cucumber, avocado, roll, and a soup, and then modified it so he could eat it

Was good sushi! We waited a while to get our order though, 25 mins which was a bit long. More of a hole in the wall so better for take out than dine in.

Great find! Thanks, Google! Got a quick bite on the way to the airport and it was awesome. I got the Karaage special and my son got the ocean roll. Super satisfied. Now we know where to go for no-frills sushi when we return to the peninsula.

This place has it all, from ramen to udon noodles, teriyaki dishes and sushi, of course. The staff were super friendly and attentive to my kid (hooking them up with extra dishes and chopstick aids, made for a cool experience). The food was delicious and reasonably priced for the generous portion. Highly recommend!If you want a nice little picnic I also recommend taking your meal about a block and a half down to the park at Colton Hall.Kid-friendliness: High chairs are available. Chopstick aids are available if your little one is learning how to use them. Staff were very attentive to our kid and offered to bring out small dishes.

AMAZING, we went twice during a 2 day stay in Monterey. Unfussy, delicious, and wide menu with great prices. We loved the sushi roll, traditional shrimp tempura donburi, and the chicken katsu curry. Would eat here all the time if I lived
