Poor quality coffee. The place smelled of disinfectant or toilet cleaner. Not a very pleasant experience.

I just bought a slice of cake that was very stale. The worst part is when the cashier rang me up, she wanted to charge $5. I reminded her that she initially told me it cost $4.50. Her response, “Oh, I lied.” Just a heads up to future customers.

The coffee was okay. The chocolate croissant was doughy and tasteless. The place seemed unhygienic as there were a lot of flies near the food section. The staff was polite. Still very disappointed.

They made this Aussie coffee snob very happy! Not too bitter, smooth and hot, just how I like it. Better than I could find in San Francisco even in Little Italy.

The espresso beverage I ordered tasted stale, and the beans tasted as if they were of an older roasting date.I know espresso, and have my own roasting machine and professional espresso equipment, so not everyone may have the same standards I have. But if you are looking for a good espresso in Monterey, may I recommend Alta Cafe, Tidal Wave Cafe, ACME coffee roasting or Captain & Stoker. All which are 2 steps above this cafe’s coffee.I cannot comment on the food here since I didnt order any.

A not very big and cozy place. To order a drink to take away or drink on site.

What a charming lovely little coffee shop, has a 90s / 2000s vibe that Starbucks just can't capture, especially with the couch and yummy roast beef breakfast sandwich.

I was recently in the area on vacation, stopped here and thought the coffee was amazingly good! The service was great, eveyrone was super helpful. I had some question about the menu, and they were all very detailed when it came to giving me answers. Highly recommend this place if you're nearby!

One of the best Flat White's I've had in Monterey! Been searching for awhile to find the best coffee shop and I think today I found it. Great friendly service, wide reaching menu including specialty coffee done right, and even frappe's and other blended drinks. Will definitely be coming back next time I'm in town!

Had a bran muffin and banana shake. Both were awesome. Glad to have found this place on a walk.

Great place to take a break if you're attending something at the Monterey Conference Center or just enjoying beautiful Monterey. Love this area that seems a bit older and less crowded than Cannery Row. Great selection of coffees and teas. I enjoyed a hot mocha and a bacon and cheese quiche--omg so tasty and the perfect size. I walked back to my conference and then many other attendees came back with me during the next break and Plumes' two person staff handled the rush with friendliness and precision. I grabbed a banana and delicious hot tea for my 2nd round. Would love to come back anytime I visit Monterey.
