Ambiance is nice, was quieter than I expected. We ordered a rockfish margarita and bullet old fashioned to start with a cup of clam chowder, garlic cheese bread, and firecracker shrimp. Drinks were nice and strong! The clam chowder was nice, not much different from most on the wharf. Firecracker shrimp isn't super spicy but good! Rockfish fish and chips tho Is a bit bland. Fries were nice. Service was wonderful and friendly

Food isn't great. Bland, touristy flare that you get anywhere. Chowder was watered down and disappointing. Service is good (friendly), but that's about all the positive I can muster up for this establishment.

The food was boring and flavorless. The mahi mahi wasn't seasoned. My boyfriend's ravioli was a tiny portion for the price. The Raspberry margarita tasted like charcoal. DO NOT ORDER IT. The service was decent, but our server took at least 15 min to bring us our bill when we were done eating. Never coming here again.

Cute spot on the water. That's the one positive I'll say. I'm hoping this was just an off day because overall the service and food was not the best. We had two people waiting on us, which got confusing. Calamari was not hot, oysters were dangerously room temp and my sisters white fish tasted extra fishy. For the two of us that ate the fish, we both don't feel well. We will more than likely never return but I hope the staff see this and know to communicate better and may the owners know there needs to be safer food handling/ storage practices.

The only good thing about this place was the service. Our waiter was friendly and great. Unfortunately, nothing about the food was good. Everything had the same texture and the flavor was non-existent

We loved this place. The clam chowder bowl is the best we've ever had. The atmosphere is pretty calm, and it doesn't seem chaotic when it's busy. The only thing we didn't like was when they were using fly swatters and killing flies right when you enter inside the restaurant. Other than that, we'll keep coming back here. All the staff are very nice.

The food was very delicious and a pretty good price compared to other restaurants on the wharf. The view was awesome and the service was quality!

Rockfish Harbor Grill is a restaurant located at the end of fisherman's wharf in Monterey. The view overlooks the harbor. The service was fast and my server was friendly. I wanted a salad for lunch, so I ordered the Shrimp Louie Salad. The price was steep ($29.95), but I was in the mood for a seafood salad since I was in Monterey. The overall quality of the salad was good. The amount of bay shrimp you get was not worth the $37.72 (including tax & tip). As you can see from my pic of the salad, it's not a huge salad. The bay shrimp is definitely frozen. I've had frozen bay shrimp that wasn't as soft as the bay shrimp in this salad. The amount of 1000 island dressing was small too. The iceberg lettuce wash fresh and crisp. I loved the candied bacon! Overall, the view was nice, and the shrimp louie salad was good. I didn't order anything else, so I can't say if the portions and quality of other food selections are good or bad. In my opinion, this shrimp louie salad is not worth the price listed. Note: the price of Shrimp Louie Salad is probably reflected by the location of restaurants on Fisherman's Wharf. It appears that when observing prices at other restaurants on the wharf, the prices are in the $30 range for shrimp louie salad. I would recommend ordering something else that is reflective of that price range. (ie: rockcod and chips for under $30).

Great location and views. We ended up here because another restaurant on the wharf that we were headed to was full. Our female server was mediocre at best. She couldn't produce a wine menu and said there was only one Chardonnay option. I found a menu later and there were multiple options. She forgot our calamari appetizer and then left it on the bill after we brought it to her attention. She definitely didn't have an upbeat demeanor. Another male server dropped an entire tray of drinks. It just seemed like amateur hour that night. I think some wharf restaurants know people will come regardless because of the location. I think they should provide excellent service and food anyway!

Good location at the end of the wharf but their service is pretty bad. Their waiters are not attentive. We walked out because nobody was there to take our orders.

I’ve eaten here twice, both times in large groups. The server told us about their halibut special, which several of us ordered, but then he came back and told us they were actually out of it. The food is fine but it’s certainly not the best seafood I’ve had in California. The fish was dry, actually. The atmosphere is cool because you’re right on the water with great views of the harbor.

First the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. They were attentive with our drinks and our grandkids. Every table that I saw had a great view of the harbor/bay. The music and lighting were not overbearing. Saving the best for last, the food was fantastic. There wasn't enough on anyone's plate to bring home. If you are planning on sitting down for a wonderful meal, be sure to make a reservation. You will also have an easy 5-10 minute walk from the parking lot. Enjoy

Nice views, with attentive staff. Food pretty basic and similar to other restaurants on the wharf. Cesar Salad had tired looking lettuce. Clam chowder was not distinctive. Artichoke Crab with crostini was hard to taste either. An odd spice in that and the crostini so hard it was inedible and hard to bite through to eat.
