Ordered half dozen oysters, calamari, and spicy shrimp pasta in a red sauce. The vibes are casual but are common to hear crying/loud children due to being close to the aquarium. The pasta wasn’t spicy at all but still tasted good

I’ve heard the Fish Hopper was very good. Tonight was an expensive exception. The calamari was cold, tough and doughy. The clam chowder was also cold, congealed, and simply didn’t taste good. The goat cheese salad was “okay” but at $19, “okay” isn’t good enough. We were very, very disappointed. Our waiter took our order and never returned. No water refills, no inquiries regarding our food, no nothing.

First, I wish I could rate 0 stars. This place was absolutely the worst restaurant I have ever been to. The service and servers were horrible and mean to my family. When we tried to order, they walked away. Further, the prices on google are incorrect, with most items cost double or triple their listed price. Once we dealt with the incorrect prices and decided to stay, the food came out under cooked or over cooked to the point the seafood was rubber. Please don't take anyone you care about here.

Deni is absolutely fantastic. She was so kind, understanding and met all of our requests. The food here was amazing. We got the sesame crusted mahi mahi, skirt steak and calamari. Impressed with all of them! Highly recommend.

While visiting California and driving up the coast on Mother’s Day we planned to stop in Monterey Bay for dinner and landed on Fish Hopper. We were able to make a reservation about 45 minutes away to secure a table right away. We ordered two servings of the clam chowder which was without a doubt the best clam chowder we’ve ever had. Attaching “award winning” to the menu name was appropriate. Biggest regret was only getting a cup instead of a bowl. For entrees we had the fish & chips and sesame crusted mahi mahi. Dessert was a cookie sundae and coconut cake. Everything was delicious. We left completely stuffed but satisfied. Next time we are in the area we will definitely be back!
