HIGHLY RECOMMEND this bakery!!! We just ordered an angel food cake with a layer of pastry cream in the middle and topped with fresh strawberries ? and whipped cream for my in-laws 60th Wedding Anniversary surprise dinner. It was not only as delicious as it sounds, it was beautiful! In fact, guests, and the bride and groom of course, lol, wanted to take some home if there was any left over slices at the end of the night! Our family and guests made wonderful comments about how beautiful the cake was and equally delicious! Susan, the owner, did a wonderful job with this cake and it was spectacular! In addition, I, myself, have had many other baked goods and breakfast items in this bakery and have never been disappointed! Everything is so fresh and divinely delicious I just had to write this review to let everyone out there know what a great bakery this is. From her specialty of key lime pie (which I normally don’t like, but I’m addicted to this one), to cheesecake, cinnamon buns, macaroons, banana bread, to crème brûlée, breakfast items and much, much more, this bakery aims to please and tantalize the taste buds!Like I said, I HIGHLY recommend The Perfect Crumb and I hope if you’re ever in the area you make the well-worth-it trip to stop by and see for yourself how good the food is at this bakery! Bring a friend, bring the family or just yourself to enjoy a fresh cup of coffee with your baked goods before going to enjoy all Pacific Grove and Monterey have to offer! It’s the best way to start your day!!!!

One of our go to's when in Monterey. So much to choose from and they are well known for their cakes and cinnamon roles. Susie the owner is great.

This place is "no so hidden gem" just north of cannery row! The ambiance is like a small cottage or beach home. I love the jazz music here too, quite peaceful and you're able to enjoy the meal. The owner was really kind and accommodating, she has a warm and inviting demeanor. Super attentive too. My partner and I both had coffee and matcha and they were superb. The biscuit is made in house and was yummy. The chocolate croissant was yummy. Will need to try the cinnamon rolls next time, because I hear they're pretty good. The place gets a wonderful breeze and isn't too busy at all. There's ample seating too, if you're a group of 3-4 people. Love this place and will definitely come back!

I ordered a Vanilla Latte and a Breakfast Sandwich with Bacon. Both were so delicious.

$18 for two pieces of carrot cake? Normal sizes. Anyone else pay that around here? Seem like so much even for the super bakeries. A bit too much frosting to boot. The cake part was moist and

Five+ stars for the carrot cake. At $9 a slice it is definitely one of the pricier slices of cake I've ever had, but my husband and I split the slice, so we did get two servings out of the purchase. I have to say it was worth every penny. I have never tasted a more moist delicious carrot cake! The cream cheese frosting was generous and absolutely perfect. I wish I lived closer so I could get a slice every week. As others have noted, service isn't the warmest in the world, but didn't bother us too much. Would definitely go back.

Cute place but the croissants were hard as a rock. My husbands filled croissant was a little better but it was "warmed" but still cold in the middle. We aren't locals but we wouldn't come back here on our next trip. The Bookworks further down lighthouse in Pacific Grove is way better for breakfast.

Absolutely one of the best bakeries in the area! Excellent down to the last crumb! Delicious sweets for any time of day! Great service as well

The breakfast sandwich is AMAZING! The fluffiest egg, between the freshest homemade biscuit, and the hash brown.. what an incredible touch!! If you're in the area this is a MUST. The ham and cheese croissant was also so delicious!

Very cute bakery on Lighthouse. I sawnit pop up not long ago and finally stopped in. Their chocolate chip cookies are amazing and I love the way their coffee menue shows the amount of milk on the different types of drinks.

Cutest cafe, great atmosphere, beautifully decorated. Coffee is stellar and the bakery items melt in your mouth!

Great bakery! Had a red velvet cupcake, macaron and slice of carrot cake. All were delicious and the service and atmosphere was great! They had a selection of cookies, pastries, creme brulee and the option to make ice cream sandwiches with the cookies. They also are open Saturday nights for dessert night which was very convenient. Would highly recommend!

I went in to the bakery a few weeks ago and purchased a cookie and cup cake. The woman told me at the time of purchase to "let the cupcake sit out to get softer". I didn't think twice. We got the goodies home and tried the cupcake later that day it was extremely dry and tasted old. I was hoping for fresh goods at such a small bakery. It wasn't the case.

Ordered the breakfast sandwich. It was painfully BLAND- even with the cheese, I struggled to taste flavor. Not for me.
