The food was great but the service was almost insulting. Our server ignored us after waiting for 7 minutes to take the order of an older couple who just sat beside us moments before and then it took 5 minutes for anyone to offer us waters or drinks. The server didn’t seem to pay attention to us while speaking and cut us off and misunderstood us multiple times. Maybe it’s because I am here with my two younger siblings that he decided we aren’t a good tip? I work as a server and have done so for 8 years, I was planning to order a mimosa before we were ignored. Please treat all your customers equally.

I was undecided between the breakfast quesadilla and a benedict. The server, Azeneth, informed me that Wave is renowned for its holiday sauce, so I opted for the heirloom tomato and basil benedict. I requested it with bacon but ultimately removed it. It was exceptionally delectable! I also ordered a caramel latte, which was of exceptional quality, suggesting that they source their coffee locally from a reputable brand. Azeneth provided attentive service throughout my meal. The restaurant is situated in Monterey, directly on the beach, offering a picturesque setting. I indulged in a delightful Italian fillo. If you are considering a breakfast visit, I wholeheartedly recommend this establishment.Parking: There are a few complimentary parking spaces available at the restaurant's location.

Amazing atmosphere, when seated outdoors. Service was impeccable and food was delicious! The Wave Street Cafe also has many options for delicious caffeinated and decaf drinks and has a variety of items on the kids menu. Our server was very attentive and suggested different food items. AMAZING ALL AROUND AND GREAT START TO OUR DAY!

Had a delightful brunch experience at Wave St. Cafe, and it's a spot that truly knows how to make mornings memorable! From the moment we arrived, the staff's warmth and friendliness set the tone for a wonderful dining experience. The dog-friendly patio, complete with puppy treats on hand, added an extra layer of charm for our furry friends. The menu at Wave St. Cafe is wonderfully generous, offering a nice selection of coffee and serving breakfast and lunch all day long. One standout feature is their full Benedict menu, which we couldn't resist trying. I opted for the Norwegian Benedict, while my partner savored the vegetarian sausage and avocado Benedict. Both dishes were a triumph, with perfectly poached eggs and a homemade hollandaise sauce that was tangy, savory, and downright addictive. And let's not forget about the breakfast potatoes – they were absolutely delicious, adding the perfect finishing touch to our meal.Wave St. Cafe has truly mastered the art of brunch, offering not just delicious food but also a welcoming atmosphere and attentive service. Whether you're craving a classic breakfast or something a bit more adventurous, this place has something for everyone.Vegetarian options: Plenty of options for vegetarians, including meat substitutesParking: There's a huge paid lot across the street and plenty of street parking.Wheelchair accessibility: Single level, room between tables, wheelchair friendly restrooms.

Gorgeous restaurant, phenomenal food and service. I got the crab cake Benedict with a fresh fruit dish and a glass of orange juice. The juice was soooo good! The fruit cup had strawberries, blueberries, pineapple, blackberries, cantaloupe and honeydew. Loved the variety! The crab cake Benedict is the best I’ve had since I’ve been here the past two months! The hollandaise was killer. I ordered the cinnamon bun pancakes and a Ghirardelli white chocolate mocha coffee to go. The coffee was amazing and I’m sure the pancakes will be too!

I ordered delivery to my hotel through Doordash, which went smoothly.I ordered the classic Benedict on gluten free toast, which was decent flavor-wise. What I didn't appreciate was the many eggshell bits cooked into the poached eggs. I could not eat 1/3 of my meal because of this. The oat milk chai was not something I'd recommend. I was not able to drink much of it because it had an overwhelming chlorine taste. The fresh fruit was okay. They didn't include utensils which is odd for a to-go order. I didn't have any utensils where I was staying, so that was something I had to obtain before I could eat. This meant waiting even longer to eat, resulting in ice cold food.Very unfortunate, especially considering the price.

My wife and I visited this café on our last day vacationing in Monterey. It had a nice cozy atmosphere that was warm and inviting with a beautiful view of the ocean. Both of our breakfast were very delicious with a great of flavor, but we both agreed that the Wave Street potatoes were absolutely amazing. The service was great and very professional, we didn’t have to wait long but we did get there a little early so we recommend that you do too because it does get packed pretty quick.

This place was so good I came back twice during my vacation. The staff is super friendly and attentive, the food is delicious, and you cannot beat the view of the ocean you get while enjoying breakfast.

We loved our breakfast at Wave Street Cafe - both dishes were beautifully presented and tasted great. The room is pretty and the service - albeit a bit rushed, was friendly and helpful. I don't know about parking because we walked there from our hotel...we will definitely go there again!
