9 Best Craft Breweries near Moorpark

Angry Ferret Brewing Brewery • $$
11990 Hertz St, Moorpark

“Excellent beers with a focus on the locally neglected Irish, Scottish, and English styles. Stout lovers will always find something well worth drinking on offer, and will have cause to celebrate if Swannie is on tap. The brewer likes to experiment with new offerings, and manages to keep new beers interesting without feeling overly gimmicky. The wide selection of delicious lower alcohol session beers and the relaxed atmosphere makes it easy to sit and have a long talk or play a game with friends. Food trucks, live music, and events like trivia night are often on offer. The owner/operates are a pair of characters clearly doing what they love, and have put together the best local pub I've had the pleasure to visit regularly.“

Enegren Brewing Company Brewery • $$
444 Zachary St # 120, Moorpark

“A gem of a spot off the beaten path inMoorpark. Led the way for craft breweries setting up in industrial parks…Chris Enegren has created a destination in an otherwise forgotten area adjacent to a CalTrans maintenance area. Clearly the secret is out. Most weekends The Alley is filled with patrons enjoying all of the offerings. Lagers and ales brewed in the German tradition as well as seasonal beers all meet the mark. Order some food from The Outpost, grab a beer and find a table either inside or out in the alley and enjoy. The beer hall style tables encourage socialization and meeting new friends who enjoy great beers. Wine lovers will enjoy the atmosphere as well given the location of Lucas Sellers Wine across the alley from Enegren.“

“Definitely one of those hidden gems. Google maps had me thinking I was driving to the wrong spot. Pizza was great. Got the hot honey pizza. Personally I would've liked more heat, but the pizza was really good. Beers were great as well. Great spot to chill and watch a game.“

Institution Ale Co. Brewery • $$
3841 Mission Oaks Blvd, Camarillo - 9.15 miles

“We go for the lunch special. It's delicious, good size portions and a friendly to the budget price. I get the one of their salads with a beer. I like their jalapeño beer, but the best is the Thai chili beer. Amazing beer with a touch of spicy. My husband always, and I do mean always, has the chipotle pizza. He always tries a new beer. The servings are perfect size for sharing. So our lunch is pizza, salad and beer for each. Perfect!“

“I'm not like other reviewers. I judge an establishment by their bathroom. I've never rated a bathroom before but this one was worth it. For just 20 seconds I felt like a pirate because of how awesome the restroom was. PS the women's is a whole lot better than the men's restroom.“

Tarantula Hill Brewing Co. Brewery • $$
244 Thousand Oaks Blvd, Thousand Oaks - 7.39 miles

“We came here to watch the playoff games after golf. They make their own beer and have a large selection of affordable bites and pizzas. They also have an ice cream bar next to the pizza station. My husband ordered a watermelon mojito, but he didn't drink it because he didn't think it was worth the calories. Another couple and I had their craft beer, and it was pretty tasty. We had pepperoni pizza, chicken wings, and a hummus and veggie platter, all of which were delicious. They don't have outdoor TVs, but there are plenty inside.“

Figueroa Mountain Brewing Company Westlake Village Brewery • $$
30770 Russell Ranch Rd, Westlake Village - 10.75 miles

“Good brewery in the neighborhood. My family and I (4 ppl) ordered a few items off the menu - Buffalo cauliflower (really good, slight kick with spiciness), beet hummus (my family's favorite, so good), wings (also really good, was recommended by waitress), and a burger I forgot the name (it was all really yummy, we got a side of salad which came with a lot and we were happy with portion size). We were extremely full! My sister and I each got the beer flight and enjoyed them all, my dad got their 101 beer. It was all really good! The service was pretty good - they had a huge party that night but still came in to check in on us multiple times. It was loud like any typical brewery, good ambiance, area for kids to play which was adorable. We would come back (:“
