Best Mexican food around! The service and food are impeccable. The servers make you feel welcome and they are so attentive. The food is great and they have the best margaritas ever!

First time here and it looks really pretty from the outside, then mostly pretty on the inside (could be nicer with a professional decorator.) Waiter was very good and attentive, however my food had an odd, really "sweet" unusual taste to it. Not rotten sweet but unusually sweet. The rice, the beans and the enchiladas all had this overly sweet taste to them. Low and behold, about an hour after being home, I got "sick" (yep, that kind of sick.....) Hubby had something different and didn't notice anything. So, either all of my food was spoiled or something was in all of the items that shouldn't be there. I will NOT be going back. I give a cautionary warning as I was very sick from it. If your food has an off/sweet taste, send it back as something is definitely wrong. I'd love a response from the restaurant, but I'm pretty sure that will never happen.

Food is great! The staff has always been kind and attentive. Ordering in or out is recommended and we do at least 3 times a month.

We love this place. My family and I come here a few times a month just to enjoy some good food, friendly staff, and good service. The beers are cold, the carnitas, asada, verde, burritos and tacos are amazing. That's all I ever seem to eat there. My daughter only really eats their rice (she's 2) but we slip some veggies and meat in when we can. Also the tortillas seem to be handmade old school style like my grandmas made. In fact I think we'll go again tonight!

Had a great experience recently. After missing a train, I popped in with family. I was impressed by the big bar. I only had drinks. The options are fairly limited and no unique craft beers. But, for the price of a big stein, who cares! The staff are very friendly. We felt valued and well treated. And all my party had were a few beers! See website for more details.

Website and sign on the door says open at 11. Arrived at 11:10 and they were closed. Called the number and a lady said they will open in 5 minutes. Not cool.. had a business meeting scheduled so we went to Country Harvest next door.

Pretty good food. Service was good as well. Wouldn't say it's the top of the top food but would be back for convenience. Pricing is on the higher side but again the convenience is nice. Lots of space between tables.

The fish taco needs a bigger boat! Whoever hauled in this monster for the spicy mahi mahi tacos must have been built like Popeye! Excellent spice and HUGE fish portion. The grilled corn cobette was delightful. I don't usually eat my garnish, but I sure did today! Excellent black beans and rice and fried plantains completed this excellent fish! Friendly service...fast and efficient! The cozy cantina feel was a great vibe! Will definitely return!

I ordered with DoorDash. My order was perfect and the temperature was as well. I tried the cheese enchiladas with rice and beans, a side salad with ranch and chips and salsa.

The food did not taste good. And the service took way to long. I won't be returning again.

Carlos was so personable and he was on top of all his tables. This was the best service I've ever had here. Not that I've had bad service but wow! Asked our names and remembered them

Decided to try another restaurant in Moorpark. It's pretty and clean inside. Unfortunately my margarita was filled with too much ice and mahi mahi tacos were mediocre. I wouldn't recommend this place. :(

It was my fault thinking this was owned by the same people that own the Don Cuco restaurants in Burbank and Simi Valley...it is NOT. But it's this restaurant's fault for the mediocre food and service. We love the other Don Cuco restaurants and hadn't been sinced we moved to Oxnard. So we were looking forward to having some of their good food when we noticed this one in Moorpark. In looking at the menu we realized it was different than what we were used to but thought maybe they had downsized the menu during covid. But once the food came, we knew it was not the same. I ordered a 2 item combination with an enchilada and a chicken tamale. The tamale tasted like it had been boiled....it was soggy and fell apart on the plate. The enchilada was just ok. The rice, which is a staple that's hard to ruin in a mexican restaurant was terrible...tasted like it had been sitting in a hot pan all day. And it was expensive for what we got. 2 people ordereing 2 item combinations with two beverages came to over $60. $5 for an iced tea is highway robbery as it only costs maybe ten cents to make it. Even soda shouldn't cost that much.

I did not care for the food at all, the chips were bland. The grilled chicken tacos weren't great.

Great food - I had the Chile verde and it was delicious. Great atmosphere and wonderful service by Carlos. Must try the coconut margarita!
