First of all my husband grew up on good Mexican food and with 3 hungry brothers and 1 just as hungry sister who knew what authentic and tasty was all about..his mom feeding the neighborhood kids, etc. In last 30 yrs I learned authentic home made from the fast food bad product cheaply made and out for only profit places and those hit and miss places where you go there not really sure how it would be the next time. So you search and go to more places all over southern Calufornia. Some better than others but not consistently. Portions sometimes big sometimes not....but TASTY, consistent, authentic..made fresh DAILY.......buy from local vendors ..great meats, chicken, pork..etc you can taste the quality. Even their fruit vendor ..for their fruit drinks and sides for dishes are sweet. super fresh and well...I know I sound a little too excited..I mean it's just food really. But when you find a hidden gem..but easy to get to...whose food is the tastiest. freshest, authentic, homemade ..meals beautifully put together and just the best of the best.....products, service......family run..not just another franchise with subpar food....No prepackaged anything here. Their food is CONSISTENTLY the best no matter what hour or day you come. Be prepared for very big PORTIONS ...friendly service ALL the time. Lupita and her husband have owned this family run piece of magic....for years. I say magic because she puts her own unique something in the food and presentations. Even the rice, beans and salsas. Guacamole..are insanely delicious And I never liked beans before. We've been coming here for years but I didnt want to go on Yelp and then people try it out and it's too over run with crowded people and then they might go bigger with more thought to making bigger profits and not the same food as they have had for years. And then we lose this place as our favorite and only place for Mexican food. But I spoke with Lupita and she said that would never happen .too many customers are use to their quality and taste of their food and wouldnt accept it any other way. True enough. So knowing that now I decided to give them our review oon Yelp. We travel alot...over southern Caiffornia..had some good Mexican food and some bad..so so..or it depended on the cook that dsy..other factors. Not here!....ALL THE TIME. I know.. If you get the chance to meet Lupita..you will love het. But it's the food .its fresh, homemade each day, attention to detail, great tasty meats, chicken pork, etc. Their Chile verse...well like I said anything on their menu is the BEST we ever hsf....They also have ground beef ad an option. Their Taco Salad is huge......burritos huge, meals huge.....but the best taste. I guess this sounds like I'm raving too much. But you know what? With what other places are serving and putting in their food with subpar products...premade this and that becoming less flavorful, less authentic and often cutting back on portions, etc.....but you gotta try this place. Be sure to pick up a menu so you know what to try next time. And you will be back! Were both very critical of anything less than good. So when bnb you find a place bv with the BEST of everything....you really dont go anywhere else for Mexican good. Her family team makes certan you get the best. They want you to return. Again and again. You can call ahead to preorder and it's hot and ready when you pick up. And ALWAYS the best you ever had .just like the last time you were here. Nowadays.....doesn't happen. Open morning to night...7 days a week. Impeccably clean also. Very extensive menu because their loyal fans like alot of different selections. Oh.. and their fruit drinks..pure pure pure. Watermelon is like eating a watermelon Their cucumber lime drink is sweet ...well it's my favorite......but sometimes zi want that watermelon. You feel so energized and good

Very mid. My husband and I ordered to-go. He ordered a carne asada today and I got the 3 birriaqueso tacos special with consomé and decided to try a sope de asada too. I'm giving three stars because my husband really liked his torta. To me, the beans and sope didn't taste " made in-house". Not tasty. The carne asada was pretty good, a little salty, but not dry. The birria was way too fatty, big chunks of fat in the tacos I had to spit out. I opened up the tacos to pick out the fat chunks. The consomé was also really greasy. I usually love to drink it, but ended up throwing it out. The cilantro and onions were also put in the consomé instead of on the side which is weird for a to-go order. The portions are pretty sizable so the prices are reasonable for the amount you're getting. The cashier was pretty nice and our wait was less than 10 minutes wait. So pretty fast service. We didn't eat in, but the place was very clean. Not too big, but comfortable eating space. I still might come back because my friends recommended the surf and turf fries.
