If you want to go to a winery that has the old school field of 1970s, Napa Valley where you can still get a free tasting and taste the most exceptional wines in California. This is the place the Ventor does micro fermentation and pays attention to the most Finest details in production. Small vintage lots are used. With no more than 1500 cases a year produced. Any wine you taste there will be exceptional. I highly recommend this place when they are open only one weekend a month.

what a delightful way to spend a day. forget the trek to Napa, enjoy world class wines hosted by a charming couple. Steve and Laura Peterson have built a lovely intimate oasis right in Morgan Hill. the grounds are so nice and the tasting room was an unexpected treat. we had a relaxed, pressure free experience in less than a 45 minute drive. if you are in Morgan Hill or even in the vicinity, don't miss this special treat. it's a great way to entertain your guests or just spoil yourself! Thank you so much. We will be back soon!

A hidden gem. This has become our favorite winery in Morgan hill. California red wines. If you love bold red and smooth wines, this is the place for you! We loved all the red wines. Comp tasting and generous pours. It doesn't get better than that! We loved the Ona Carmen Cuvee 2018 and Monarch 2018 Merlot. We came here Saturday around 3:30pm. Very hospitable staff. It's family owned and the family are the staff. Plenty of outdoor seating. Very peaceful setting. Pretty much all the table chairs have cushion. Outside food is allowed. We met the Steve, his daughter Emma, Emma's husband. They even have a cat and 3 dogs on site. The tasting room is open aired. 1 restroom only. There was a florist truck selling some unique flowers for around $20-25 depending on the size. Needless to say, we became members. Half price delicious wines? We are sold. Sad that they are only open the 3rd weekend of each month. Quality over quantity though! It closes at 5pm but we stayed a bit longer finishing up our wines.

The BEST winery in the South Bay for red wines! I have been recommended to this winery by many, and it lived up to my expectations. They only open every 3rd Saturday and Sunday of the month, and I highly recommend that if you are reading this review, you are currently making plans to be there! We came as a party of 4 with no reservation and brought along our own food to picnic, as there is plenty of shady lounge areas. To see the wines available for tasting, check out their website before you arrive; they also have menus to help you keep track of your tasting. We were able to taste 6 different wines, and watch out: the pours are 3 oz pours! Most wineries only do 1 oz tastings of 4 wines - when I asked them why they were so generous, they responded, "We just want everyone to get drunk and have a great time!" By the time we had finished all 6 flights (~2.5 hrs), we were very happy drunks! There is no cell service here, so make sure to come with a designated driver. The majority of their wines are made with grapes grown nearby (support local!) and they had a great variety of wines. In this wine region, wines can often be lacking flavor and depth, but EmmaLily wines have distinct flavors and some are very deep reds (although not as deep as Robert Mondavi wines) Our favorite that we ended up buying was the Cosmos ($175), made of estate grown wine grapes. Yes, the wines are quite pricey at $90-275 per bottle, but wine club members get 50% off and anyone can join by buying 6 bottles at the wine club price. Even better, the tastings are FREE and each person drank $30+ of wine. Don't take advantage of this amazing winery; please buy a bottle of wine or join their wine club at the end of your tasting. Overall, this is one of my favorite wineries in Morgan Hill. It's hidden away and there is no data (download everything beforehand or ditch the phone), so bring good company, good food, and prepare to drink some great wine out on the country.

EmmaLily has everything we could want in a winery. The winemaker is present and engaged with all who visit. He and his wife are warm, fun and gracious hosts. Their reds are equal or better than what you can find in Napa, without the snooty feel or ridiculous tasting fees.Pack a picnic and enjoy your visit, because you will want to stay awhile. This winery has all the feels - beautiful and serene setting, great hosts and wines you will love.Open the 3rd weekend of every month.

I have been coming here for years and the new winery is beautiful! Every single pour is excellent so it’s hard to choose a favorite. The owners, Steve and Laura, are fun, friendly and informative. Kid friendly because there is lots of area to explore - vineyards, windmill, little green barn and animals - goats, horses, pony and two pot bellied pigs.

Napa quality wines in South Silicon Valley!?! If you love big Napa cabs, and cab blends, plan a visit to scenic backroads of Morgan Hill. Beautiful new winery and lovely grounds. Plenty of room to spread out for a socially distanced afternoon. Open third full weekends of the month but in these times of COVID, you may want to check first with the winery to see if reservations are needed.

Big fan of this place. Very friendly family with a country setting serving high quality wines. Too bad it is only open two days a month but that is probably what makes it so special! Bravo!

Wine snob here. This place is where my grandparents go to buy their cabs. My grandpa said this is as good as it's gets. He's 80 years old, so I believe him. This is a nice ,cozy vineyard with the most absolute greatest wine you will find. Thanks for your being in the neighborhood.
