“Great service and food. Unique burger menu was offered. I wasn't too hungry when I came in with the people who were with me. The sweet potato fries I ordered satisfied me perfectly. Thanks to the waitress. The food ordered by my friends was also good. I only heard kudos from them.”
“We usually eat breakfast here when we're in Idyllwild. I recommend the Trio breakfast or the steak and egg burrito. Be aware, they serve large portions. I personally think the burrito ? feeds two people for sure. Best breakfast place so far. You'll spend appt 65 bucks for three people.Parking: There's about 17 parking spots and street parking adjacent. It will be full on weekends though. We haven't had problems finding parking yet.”
“We always enjoy our visits to Wine Finch. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. The wines are good and are fairly priced. They also have a wine club. I highly recommend joining. If you're looking for a place to sit, sip on a glass of wine and enjoy the views along with friendly conversation, this is the place to go.”
“Tommy's kitchen has the best most authentic food in town. Tommy brings an old world charm and he hand makes everything his service and the ambience in this place is great but most importantly you'll be eating it at home I would love to see someone come in one day with Tommy reopen the restaurant and serve everybody the way they used to and that would bring him a ton of joy, but until then bring the best food in town home. He is well worth the money and the time he's a class act and this restaurant is true the best food I've had in a long time I'll be coming back and I I've already recommended multiple friends in the area, I know he'll be getting reviews from them too”
“First time eating here, even before they moved to this new spot. I had a patty melt, it was delicious, kids had ice cream and enjoyed every bite. I'm glad there is another spot where you can get food other than the lumber mill in the middle of the day.”
“Cafe Aroma says that they hope your experience is everything you hope it to be..... Our anniversary dinner was amazing from the moment we were warmly greeted by Manager Daniel to when the last dish was removed by our attentive busser, Saul. Our waiter, Edgar, was fantastic! He did everything to make our dinner special. I was very impressed with how sensitive he was to my dietary restrictions and suggested the perfect choices. Everything was amazing from our first sip of wine to our dessert. We will definitely be back!”
“Chicken fried steak was crunchy, pleasantly salty, and meat was tendar.Pancakes were nice and fluffy. The staff was very friendly and the coffee was kept topped off.”
“The Red Kettle is our favorite eatery in Idyllwild by far, what makes our visit even more special is the snow. You get a great view of the town square from the restart, the staff is amazing they provide some amazing service which makes you feel right at home. Their menu is pretty good they have a large selection to choose from. Make sure you leave some room for some fresh pie, they have different kinds of pies daily. I would recommend showing up early for breakfast or lunch because they get very busy.”
“The food was GREAT. Our seating was mediocre at best. They put us in an alcove where the seats hit the wall on both sides with minimal space. We did turn the table diagonal and it made the seating more comfortable, but the lighting was bad. Service...eh. It took 25 minutes to get our waitress to take our drink order, and another 15 for her to return and unscrew the top. She had 2 other tables but she came upstairs and returned downstairs 3 times without even looking our way. Before we were presented our dinner, it had been 1 hr and 10 minutes. The waitress had no self awareness and when my wife mentioned the table next to us had a party that was still eating when we arrived and the next party had been served and were nearly finished before we ordered, the waitress tried to offer an excuse. Good thing neither of us responded to her "it's not me" attitude. We will probably return for another try but will be more discriminating about seating and service.”
“A pleasant place to have a hot coffee while watching woodpeckers and a beautiful kitty drinking water & roaming around in their backyard. The staff are very friendly and helpful.”
“Stumbled accross this place while exploring Idyllwild and my boyfriend and I really enjoyed it! Located in the small town, not far away from anything at all, this place really satisfied! Seating isn't the best. There's a bench, some walls and some tables but us with our big partt, struggled to find seating. But that didn't stop us from enjoying all our treats on the nice day! We just went to the central area across the street and sat on the benches there. We got ice cream, churros and beef jerkey. The Ice Cream was really good. There was something about it that just seemed homey. The churros were definitely fresh. They were nice and warm and you could see the steam. The beef jerkey was super flavorful. If you're ever in Idyllwild, definitely give this place a try. They have lots of variety and the service is great!”
“Food was great, the service was very good. It had snowed all day, so we sat on the patio in 30 degree weather (with heaters) and watched the snow fall from the trees. AWESOME !!”
“Local, family owned food truck with killer service! Not only is their food delicious but the atmosphere they have cultivated is family friendly and so much fun! Everyone in my family loves to eat here, lucky to have them in town.”
“I think we have just found our go-to coffee roastery when in Idyllwild. Good to know. This great little coffee spot is situated in a cluster of rustic cabin, one-of-a-kind stores just a few blocks outside of the little downtown. It's tiny inside, possibly big enough to accommodate 5 patrons, with boho cute ambiance. It appears to be a popular local hang out even though there are other coffee houses in town. Not much in the way of indoor seating, you can sit outdoors under the pines and slurp your hot brew as noisily as you wish. There was only one barista on duty, but that's about all you can squeeze behind the counter anyway.I was desperately in need of a pick-me-up, a caffeine jolt, and so I started with a freshly brewed cup of their drip coffee. What I chose was a medium roast, because he informed me they had no dark roast. I believe it was a Guatamalan bean (I can not be sure). I suffered a slight bit of culture shock as he rang up $7 (small), mostly because I rarely buy coffee by the cup anymore (I choose to buy my own beans and grind and brew my own). Medium roast is not my usual preference, and this particular one I found a bit too acidic, floral, and thin. But I had also intended to buy coffee grounds to brew each morning in our lodge room for the next 3 days. So after eyeing their available bags of roasted beans on their shelf, I asked the barista, which was the most popular of their coffees? Ah! One they had just finished roasting, still unbagged in the back. The Rustic Cabin blend, he replied. So, on impulse, I bought it, untried. He ground the beans for me, and I happily went on my way. Such a delicious aroma, I was beginning to understand why it was the peoples' choice! And the resulting brew turned out to be incredibly perfect. That lovely 12 oz bag lasted me for at least a month after. And I saved the bag, lest we forget! I now have one more reason to look forward to another Idyllwild visit.”
“Best Mexican food ever! Wonderful small restaurant with great food (we had shrimp burrito, octopus tacos, camarrones con ajillo). Service was great, food delicious! The restaurant is small - better be here early!”
“Stopped in on my vacation during my birthday, never had tried this spot before, and I had no idea that sushi actually existed up in Idyllwild on the mountain. I was very impressed, this is truly a legit sushi organization and I ordered a dragon roll that was delicious, fresh and well-made with Care. It looks like a small venue that you can literally rent out with 10 to 15 friends for any occasions. I recommend it highly!”
“The Butter Bar (Rice Treat) was "to LIVE for"! The staff at my school received some as a mental health appreciation gift! And boy did it brighten up my day! I had to hunt down generous donor to say thank you! I'll be ordering on my own!”
“PIZZZA. Always good. Worth the wait (be prepared) I also enjoy their salads and chocolate chip cookies. While waiting you can enjoy some great classic pinball machines or have a cold beer.”
“What a fabulous little place this turned out to be. We had lasagna, seafood pasta, crostini appetizers and salad. They were also accommodating to our grandson who had pasta with butter and Parmesan cheese.”
“Super chill spot with good food and drinks! Waitress was on point super friendly and fast paced with the drinks!! GF had the salad and was super stoked how fresh it was!”
“Deandre the busser was very charismatic and cute, it's obvious he takes pride in his work. Rae, our server was also very nice and very professional. The food was good with a very elegant presentation. It was ambient with dimmed lighting and little lamps at each table.”
“The young gentleman that completed my order was extremely nice. We talked the whole time he was making my order. The food was delicious and the employee was awesome.”
“i wanted to get some breakfast but they don't serve anything but a belgian waffle, which my uncle ordered; the other patrons, while finishing their meal questioned his choice of lunch. all in good faith i suppose.i ordered the cheeseburger with Gorgonzola and it was good, i want to give this place five stars because their service is off the hook, and they have cute waitresses, but their fries were soggy. really soggy, almost to the point where i wanted to complain but didn't have the heart to. it was in the middle of nowhere, i guess they just cook their fries like that? maybe it's the elevation. who knows.otherwise it's a good place, it breaks the banality of the other eateries around town.”
“This place won't be around much longer. The food was actually good despite one person ordering serving cooking and bussing. Two piles of dog poop on carpet so obviously had not even vacuumed in the last day. Even if be some miracle she got a bunch of costumers she then would not have the staff to serve them. Kinda sad.”
“Food was meh, acceptable but nothing great... but the price was alright so I'll give it a pass; you're not here for food anyway. Love the view though. We came here on a rainy/snowy day, so we were able to watch the clouds come and go, snow rainbow rain sun... we saw all of them. We enjoyed the experience. Our waiter was also extremely nice and attentive. Food: 3 stars Service: 5 stars View: 5 stars”
“This place is fantastic. The food was fresh, creative and delicious. The wine selection is phenomenal and the prices are more than fair. Live music on the little stage out front was an excellent addition. Great little spot in Idyllwild! Go see Leanna, she is offering great service!”
“Chesters chicken is delicious, love their spicy chicken sandwiches. It has the spiciness and zest you want in a spicy chicken sandwich and makes great comfort food too.”
