After we ordered, we waited 45 minutes...we decided to leave. The restaurant was very full. It was one person manning maybe 10 tables, so even though the waitress tried to be accomodating - it is just not possible to provide good service when there is not enough staff to customer ratio. Perhaps only possible to provide an enjoyable dining experience by installing a computer ordering system. We never got to try the Thai street food...maybe this is an actual experience in the street in Thailand?

We really love Amarin Thai, and the concept here is good. But the food here is much too greasy. Recommend the basil tofu scallops.

The space at this location is smaller compared to the original Amarin Thai, and the menu offers a more limited selection of street-style dishes. On a Saturday afternoon, we had no trouble finding a table. We decided to order the Panang curry with rice and the Pad Kee Mao with Tofu. Both dishes were delightful, and the service was prompt.

Came for lunch. Tried to skip carb and eat healthier and asked if I can have veggie as replacement. The waitress was flexible and agreed to change it without extra charge. Food came fast. My soup was delicious, although the replaced bean sprouts were scanty. Can't ask for more when they were nice enough to modify for you.Basil chicken and yellow curry chicken were both tasty. Yet the papaya salad was unbearably sour and tasted terrible, it also had fishy smell. I've never had papaya salad this bad. The recipe was a disaster.Service was very nice. Staff was polite and attentive. Would probably come back to try other dishes.

Wonderful spicy Thai lunch plates, just the entree. Doesn't open until noon on weekdays, which means that if you come in at noon there won't be many other customers, so service is faster than at some of the busier places on Castro. But not better food, yum.

We stopped in for a quick bite when taking a stroll along Castro street. The roti and spring rolls were amazing and the pad Thai was pretty good.

Arrived at around 8PM and was seated immediately given that it was relatively late and not many customers around. Food took around 15 mins to arrive. I ordered the Pad Kee Maow w/ Tofu, and my friend ordered the Pad Thai w/ Satay. Both tasted pretty standard but definitely not worth the price I paid for. There's another restaurant right across this one with the same exact name. Not sure if it's owned by the same person, but make sure not to get the two confused.

Traveling through time yet Thai food has never let me down. The Pad See U was delicious and the service was excellent. Nice and friendly to Love and Life. Great Job- - Forever Love

Food was excellent and clearly prepared with care and attention to presentation! Spicy prawns were cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. The dish was garnished with a sprig of young peppercorns which I had never tried before - they provided an interesting textural and flavor contrast and were delicious as well! They were accommodating to our party of 8 and service was prompt. This restaurant deserves more patrons - go dine at Amarin!

My family loves Thai food. Thats the only non-Indian cuisine where chances, of getting vegetarian options that are flavorful, are higher. Amarin is one of my favorite places. This is the first time we were eating at this location (there is another Amarin across the road from this one on Castro). As publicized, this is more street food version.Khoa Soi is my favorite. Curry and noodles were good too. Can only say about the vegetarian entrees, they were all good. Service was very slow. When we went there was only ond person taking orders and serving. It took a long time to give the order but after that food came pretty quickly.Has both indoor & outdoor seating. Right on Castro Mtn view downtown. No parking available outside the restaurant. Have to park in one of the cross streets and walk here.Vegetarian options: Quite a lot of options that can be ordered with Tofu & vegetables for veggie option
