Amazing place. Five starts on all fronts. Good beer, good appetizers, great food. Came here for a company dinner. I had the halibut special.

This guy ate my food. Also there was a giant hole in the floor after he popped out. Experience was good other than that though.

Myriad of social events and corporate French dinner here. Pastas and wine selections are consistently delicious and refreshing. Christmas and Thanksgiving festivities are held here several times that we relish the most. Prompt service and clean facility. Our recent visit feels like interior and exterior time to modify or a thoughtful makeover to give this location a spiffy French look.

Absolutely delicious meal. Four of us went there for lunch on a Sunday afternoon and one in our party ordered pasta another a sandwich. I ordered the soul fish and my husband ordered a chicken dish. The food was extraordinary. Prices were reasonable. And the chocolate lava cake dessert wasdelicious. I look forward to coming back again to try the ravioli and another chicken dish. If you are in Mountain View you must try La Fontaine

The food is really good. The bouillabaisse and pizza were fantastic. There were lots of other items we want to go back and try. The wait staff were friendly and very attentive. I highly recommend going.

Enjoyed a lovely dinner here with coworkers! Parking in downtown Mt View is kinda nuts but the garage is close so def park there. Bread is fresh and a plenty! We had the bouillabaisse, beef and mash, pizza, ravioli and all was amazing. Service was also super friendly and a great overall atmosphere!

Our 55th Anniversary dinner was made special by the quality of the food and service. La Fountaine has a wide variety of menu options sure to delight any palate. Highly recommended.

Chose this place for our Valentine’s Day lunch. The restaurant is located in the downtown so parking is scarce and have to walk 10-15 min depending on where you parked. The restaurant looks small from outside but it has lot of seating space and since we went on a weekday only 3-4 tables were occupied.Started our lunch with Cream of Mushroom soup which was really good esp in this cold and rainy weather. They provided a basket of bread with a herb oil for side. Ordered L-Fromage De Chevre Aux Pistaches for starter, Grilled salmon for entree, La Fontaine pizza, Panna cotta & Lava cake for dessert. The started was really good. It had the pistachio crunchiness and the slight sweetness from the caramelised onion and honey. I was not much impressed with the grilled salmon. The quantity seemed less for the price and it came with veggies and mashed potato. The pizza had the thinnest crust I ever had with the right amt of tomato sauce and little topping. They were cut into 9 pieces and we took most of them home. The highlight was the dessert. The lava cake was yummy and came with sea sat caramel ice cream which just complimented the cake and carried it to the next level. The panna cotta comes with a berry sauce which we asked them to skip for us. The texture was so good and the right flavor.Overall a good date place, friendly staff, adequate seating, just above average pricing and quiet ambience.

This was our first time dining at La Fontaine but it won't be our last. The atmosphere and service was top notch and the food was delicious. We started with a crab cake appetizer and the pistachio crusted goat cheese. Our entrees included Beef Wellington, Seafood Bouillabaise, and Cream of Mushroom soup. All were excellent.

We went for a family lunch here with a group ranging in age from 4 mos to 96. The staff was so accommodating, especially Paola our server. The appetizers were smallish and fine if nothing special, but the entrees were very good. Thank you for hosting us!

What a wonderful place! We were in town for my son's PhD defense, but hadn't been able to find a place for our celebratory dinner in Palo Alto. Since La Fontaine in Mountain View was able to accommodate our large party on short notice, we took a chance on it. ..and are we glad we did! Excellent service and personal attention from the manager and delicious food. Who needs the crowds and long waits in PA when La Fontaine is just a short drive away?!

I came here for valentines day, I was a bit disappointed, we got charged $230 for a mediocre dinner. The service was okay but the price for this dinner was definitely not worth it. We arrived on time and were told that there was a set price for the menu since it was valentines day. We ordered 2 appetizers and 2 entrees. We never received our appetizers. When it was time for dessert we mentioned this to the waiter who questioned us and looked confused about us not receiving the food. Nonetheless he offered to give us a discount which was great. For dessert we got 2 mini scoops of ice cream and took a tiramisu to go. The waiter gave us a $50 discount but then charged us an extra $50 for gratuity. We were already planning on leaving tip but there was ultimately no point in the discount since he charged us so much just for tip!! Keep in mind this was just a party of 2 and they had not given us everything that was included. It was a bit ridiculous to charge so much! The food was just okay, nothing special. With what we got charged I could've definitely gone to a more upscale restaurant and paid the same amount.

Our Frist time tried this place , I was concerned after mad reservation and I was right. Food not that great and not sure how they got 4 star. Grilled Octopus over cooked, Truffle Mushroom soup was water down , Seafood dish just very salted , Very disappointed , Service not that great either They don't bother to knowledge us about the food or menu . They charge like fine dining but you don't get the experience like what you pay for. Won't recommend for couple , The Place so loud, no inviting, Just over price , over rate
