Not too many options at Murphys so Iwe return to grounds for breakfast, my husband order eggs/bacon potatoes, I create my own omelet and my kids order French toast, fruit cup, my husband breakfast came with no bacon, my omelet came overcooked, kids fruit came not what the waitress described, we ask for Tabasco sauce, waitress comes to check on us and we mention no bacon came on the plate then she said oh do you need a side of bacon? We told her no we order eggs and bacon, she answer oh let me check, then she comes back a few minutes later. Sorry about that, here is the bacon, then we remind her can we get Tabasco, she answer. Yes I’m going to get it, I was getting the bacon? What kind of answer is that? Then she said as bringing the fruit oh I didn’t have pineapple like she mentioned before, instead of coming and ask if we still want it, she was not friendly at all, the potatoes were dry, really bad, sitting all day or from previous day, please put more effort on your food and service, we were charged service (tip) in or bill since we were table of six, sounds very unfair for a terrible service, I get it that the rule, then on the bottom o suggesting tip on top of that, no way!Edit to add… that’s funny that the answer is your been doing it for 30 years ?? over and over when someone isn’t happy with your food, yes like I said not too many options there, yes I’ll be back in Murphys, I’m a neighbor ??♀️

Sat at our table for 10 minutes. No bread, no water, no waitress. After sitting that long we watched another table get sat, bread for everyone, water for everyone. Meanwhile no one even looked at us to see if we needed anything. Crappy service. Won’t return.

Wonderful spot in a wonderful town (shhh... don't tell anyone about Murphys CA). Grounds consistently serves fresh, tasty, well-prepared California cuisine at good prices. I especially enjoyed the crab cakes appetizer (massive and chock-full of actual crab) and their burgers are on-point too. Great locally focused wine list and very classy cocktails. Their sister restaurant, Firewood, dishes out more casual fare and our kids love the pizza there.

Let me start off by saying me and my wife have worked with chef jemma at a different location, so we know her strong work ethic. Over the last year me and my family have eaten @grounds over a dozen times . Her and the gentleman she works with in the kitchen are doing a Phenomenal job . causing me to take the time to write this know. Honestly everything has came out Beyond expectation, Presentation and taste has been absolutely amazing. I ment write this a few months back when I had The Halibut special. That was amazing. This time we had the elk ,beet salad and appetizers. I don't want to leave out the rest of the staff . The bartender , Service staff, buser had All did a phenomenal job. Congratulations to everyone there you guys are doing above and beyond. Thanks for everything we will be back.One satisfied, customer.

Best food and service ever. Food was delicious flavorful and not lacking in portions. Service was fast! Food came out fast and was fresh. We will be back tomorrow. Cyndi was our waitress and was amazing.

I had the herb omelet with potato pancakes (which are a lot like hash browns), and my husband had the breakfast burrito. We both really enjoyed our food, and we will be back.
