Beautiful patio setting on the Silverado trail, this winery estate touches all the senses... delightful variety of vintages, fountains and songbirds, leisurely tasting experience in a comfy wine country setting. This family winery is beautiful and the staff make you feel at home.

Quality/Quantity - Mixed Tasting - Two whites, two reds, see picture. Sauvignon blanc, white wine blend, tempranillo, and a cabernet. Red Tasting - My selection, pinot noir, syrah, and two cabernets. Cheese & Charcuterie - Small plate, but enough for us because we really just came here to try their wines! Decent assortment. Additional glasses, splashes of oakville and howell cabernets. See pictures of all our glasses. I also liked the different unique shapes of our glass. It felt like I was back in chemistry class. Atmosphere - Beautiful winery. Clean modern bathrooms. Decent assortment of merchandise souvenirs, see pictures. Plenty of parking, also for EV vehicles. Good size winery, both indoor and outdoor seating. Raining today, so most people were indoors. Also several private tasting rooms, see picture. Open 7 days a week from 10am to 5pm. Service - Good. Got some business cards to maybe set up a future tour. Tours are typically not offered to the public. Wine club available, see picture or website. Events available, see website. Food and wine pairings are also available, see website. Price - Our guest fought for the bill and actually won... I think it came out to approximately $151. I left a generous tip. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 1924.

William was an 11 out of 10 wine guide. He is very knowledgeable and his bad puns made my girlfriend and I crack up. He made this a charming, tasty adventure

Besides our host and the wine, one of the best things about black stallion is their learning garden. While not everything was in bud break, it was very cool that they brought all the different vineyards to you and you could see and feel the difference. The ambience was quiet and nice and I can’t wait to go back.

First off, the grounds are stunning. Everything from the Ivy to the cobblestone makes you feel instantly in a fairy dream. Ambiance is on point on the weekdays, I can see the weekends being crazy here, so remember to be kind. Also be sure to walk in through the entrance behind the winery though, we mistakenly walked all the way around to the statue, but the entrance is by the guest lot. Aside from our directional inabilities, this tasting experience was considerably unique compared to any other Napa tasting. That uniqueness was our host, William, he was genuinely funny and had a presence when engaging with guests that we will remember fondly. He was also very accommodating to my friends who have specific tastes, giving us the opportunity to discover what they really like. I loved the white wines, the Vio was amazing as well as the Sauv Blanc and the reds. Even more I loved the Pinot, 2018 Reserve Cab, and the Red Blend.

I came solo with my service dog Halo. They were wonderful to us both and made the experience so easy. I sampled unfiltered vs filtered Chardonnay. The Sauvignon Blanc & Pinot. All lovely ??

Pours were very light and I was unimpressed with the service. Wine was average. You can get way better bang for your buck elsewhere in Napa.

Beautiful estate and lovely tasting areas. The wines that we tasted were very nice and smooth. The tasting is a casual set up, where you are given a flight all at once and go at your own pace. Our sommelier gave us a run down of what we were tasting before leaving us to it. He would pop in to check on us and was available if we had any questions. Different than a typical tasting but we enjoyed ourselves.

Arrogant and way too exaggerated. They looked down on you and wanted to disgust you. Super bad atmosphere.

overpriced tastings, sour wines. Sav Blanc and Merlot were drinkable.
