What a great experience! Beautiful tasting room located on second floor (there is an elevator for easy accessibility). We were greeted and seated as soon as we came in. Our host Marco was so awesome! He was knowledgeable and personable and made us feel very welcomed. He taught us all about the wines and pairings and also gave us the history of the establishment. It was so engaging and we would have stayed longer if we weren’t in a time crunch. The wines were top notch, we bought two bottles. I highly recommend doing the wine and small bites pairing because they have some delicious food! Reservations recommended especially on weekends. I also want to mention the staff as a whole. Everyone we encountered was friendly and I really appreciate that! Thank you all for making our visit so nice and we will definitely be back

You can choose an all zin flight or a rose, white, and red flight.Make a reservation!Our sommelier was kind and let us taste the Zin, so we did appreciate that. If you dont like red wine or dont drink wine often, it is hard on the palette. My personal favorite was their Merlot, then the Sauvi B. But my friends weren't wine drinkers and didn't enjoy it that much.There was a great vibe, and it was great to be around a mostly Black customer base in Napa.

Devin gave us an amazing experience it was so nice to hear the history of the winery and the tasting was amazing and it was right downtown!! If you stop anywhere make sure this is on your list!!

The cheeseboard with fig almond bread is a perfect pairing for their exquisite wines. The Calistoga Zinfandel, in particular, stands out with its delicious flavor profile. The ambiance is charming, making it an ideal spot to unwind and indulge in exceptional wine and meet other wine enthusiasts.Val, the hostess, was down to Earth and made the visit worth the while.Overall, a must-visit destination for wine lovers seeking a memorable tasting experience.

I booked a last minute trip to Napa, I looked up a few wineries and came across Browns which had amazing reviews so I was excited to go. I read on the website reservations are recommended, BUT will accommodate walk-in if possible, it was only two of us so we wanted to try our luck, I read a few other reviews where parties were accommodated. We show up around 1:30 on a Saturday, it was very difficult to find we actually had some locals show us where the place was, no signs showing where the business is until you open a door with just an address on it. We go up and we’re greeted by a gentleman who was a little dry, maybe over the day a little bored, we told him we didn’t have reservations and that I had read on the website walks in were welcome. He told us they couldn’t accommodate us because they don’t take walk in on Fridays or Saturdays. My only problem was that it was only 5-7 ladies in there it wasn’t overly crowded and again it was only two of us. With that being said I guess they pick and choose who they want to accommodate at that time.
Nice, I love the vibe. The staff were knowledgeable and helpful, not just on wine but on local spots to try. Tasting was reasonably priced. Also, the glasses were beautiful.

Went to Brown on my birthday weekend in Napa last weekend. As a California member, I was able to receive free tastings so a few of us went in after making a reservation. Alexis, our wine educator, was absolutely wonderful! She knew every answer to every question, she was funny, she was perfect for our group of wine drinkers. While I of course love the wine from this winery, what I loved even more was the charcuterie board. It is the only winery I know of that gives you a beef bresaola. I don't know if it's because the owner grew up sda. I don't know if it's because they're black. Whatever it is! I love it! I absolutely love that I could enjoy everything on the charcuterie board and it was absolutely delicious!We truly enjoyed the experience!

Absolutely one of the best wine tasting experiences ever. This was our first time doing a wine/pairing and I am so glad that Brown Downtown Napa was our first as they have set the bar high. The vibe was all that, with the intimate location, laid back scenery and the music. Shout out to whomever selected your playlist. Eliza (sp), I am sure that I butchered the spelling of your name, but she was an absolute dream. She was extremely well versed in her wine knowledge as well as the history of the Brown Winery. Thank you much for being patient with us and asking us questions in terms of what we thought of the wine, what flavors we were tasting etc.We will definitely be back!
