My party of 4 arrived at almost 10 pm last Saturday without reservations after a disasterous experience at Charlie Palmer's down the street. Your restaurant was SO ACCOMMODATING! It was professional, delicious and a great atmosphere. Our waiter, Brian, was excellent. No one acted as though they were closing soon, made us feel welcome. We will definitely be back soon!!!

So my husband first visited Cole’s in 2018 and LOVED it! Hashbrowns were made to perfection. Steak was amazing! So we visited again as tourists in 2019, was good but not as great as the first time. In 2020, now residents we visited we liked the steak and pork chops and hubby enjoyed the spinach salad. So we’ve visited every year since and we were hopeful to be wowed just like the first time. But each time the steaks were less and less delicious and items like the lobster bisque lacked so much flavor. So we’ve decided after recently visiting this past weekend that it was going to be the last time. The upsides are the service is always wonderful. Very friendly staff. The environment and set up is nice, only slightly cramped though. I feel like other guests could be a part of the conversation since were so close to one another.Hopefully they get better but I wonder if it’s complacency because there aren’t many steakhouses in Napa so you don’t have competition.

Terrible noise, server ignored us most of the night, apps were decent but the steak was tough. Never again.

Cole's has been in Napa for years and is a favorite spot to eat. The steak is incredible and if you can sit outside it is very beautiful. Tye service is good and they are always attentive

Fantastic dinner experience. Excellent service. We had the lobster bisque and a beet salad before our entrees. As a main we had the fish of the day halibut and filet mignon, some with peppercorn sauce on the side. All we perfectly cooked. A great place for a special dinner. Our server, Cole (no relation) was fantastic.

Four of us ate dinner at Cole's Chop House last night. To cut to the chase, taking into account the cost, this place is incredible. Great food, great drinks, great presentation, great selection, great atmosphere, and great service - all at great prices. I highly recommend Cole's.

I would strongly endorse dining at Cole's Chop House. The culinary experience was sublime, with every aspect - from appetizers to mains and from drinks to sides - being simply fantastic. I dined there with my team of six, and all of us were thoroughly impressed. Several of us enjoyed exquisitely cooked filets, while others savored the lobster and salmon dishes. I personally relished the daily special, which happened to be the best crab cake I've ever tasted. The beet and Caesar salads complemented our meal perfectly. The beet salad was truly a heavenly creation. As for the Caesar salad, while I would have preferred a larger portion and a lighter dressing, it was unquestionably palatable overall. The crab cocktails were a big hit, and the fusion of lobster, milk, and cheese, coupled with Brussels sprouts, was nothing short of tantalizing. The desserts were the cherry on top of an incredible dining experience, with the bread pudding and pecan pie standing out. We look forward to revisiting Cole's Chop House as a team and would love to bring our families along as well. Four stars from us!

The classic American steakhouse done right!! My wife and I dined here this past weekend to celebrate her birthday. Despite the fact we came on a cold, rainy night this place was bustling! We were promptly seated upstairs and had a few minutes to peruse the menu before our order was taken. We opted to split the Caesar salad which came with actual anchovies which was a nice touch and added the perfect amount of saltiness to cut the richness of the Caesar dressing. For mains my wife had the surf and turf which included a 7 oz petite filet and lobster tail. For myself, I ordered the 14 oz ribeye and opted to add the lobster tail as well. Our steaks were cooked perfectly to our specifications....a perfect medium rare. The lobster tails were cooked exquisitely as well, not at all chewy or rubbery and paired with drawn butter. For sides we got the house special lobster mac n cheese, mashed potatoes, and creamed spinach. We found all the sides to be equally delicious. I always tend to judge a steakhouse by the sides because any steakhouse worth it's name should automatically know how to cook a steak. Whereas sides can be a hit or miss at times. They have an extensive wine list here albeit pricey. We opted to bring our own wine and pay the modest $35 corkage fee. We saw many other patrons that night doing the same. Service was great, our server Christop was attentive but not intrusive. Pacing of the meal was good as well, without long waits between courses nor feeling hurried or rushed throughout our meal. With it's solid fare and amiable service it's easy to see why Cole's chop house continues to be so highly rated and a top dining destination in Napa. We are definitely planning to return whenever we are looking to celebrate our next special occasion!! Pro tip: Cole's sits patrons indoors and outdoors under a heated tent. If you don't want to be seated outdoors make sure to mention that when making your reservation. We sat outdoors earlier that day for a wine tasting and froze our asses off.

As a resident in Napa 23 years, cole's never disappoints! Erik always has a kind word for us and makes us feel like family. We were there for my husband's birthday dinner and the food was incredible.

Great service! Food was mixed, lobster and filet were tough. Out of 4 side dishes, 3 were good (mashed potatoes, wild mushrooms and onion strings) but the last, asparagus with Hollandaise was not very good

Great food & service! Mash potatoes were perfection. Light and creamy. Love the lobster Mac & cheese. Thought it would be overpowering and salty so was pleasantly surprised it was light and didn't feel too cheesy or heavy. Creme brulee was probably one of the best I've had in a while.
