We just had our March birthday lunch for our store from Hop Hing's 17 meals, 17 happy employees. One employee declared that the Mongolian Beef was the best he has ever had.

Dear D.

I LOVE HOP HINGS KITCHEN! As a college student, it is hard to find food in Napa that is cost effective and gives you as much food as they can stuff into their boxes. My favorite is the fried rice! I think about it all the time and I'm craving it as we speak!!! My friends always know that my go-to for food in Napa is Hop Hings Kitchen. The service is fast and I would prefer this place to Panda Express. I love Hop Hings Kitchen!

There's a reason this place only has 3 1/2 stars. We didn't find anything good about it. But again there was nothing bad about it either. It was just kind of meh. I really wanted to like it because I love supporting local businesses and I also love Chinese food. Especially fast food, Chinese food. I want Panda Express does it better, that says a lot. FOOD: service and cost were great, so it was in this area that they really failed to come through. The sesame chicken did not taste like sesame chicken that I've ever had. The orange chicken was blah. Did not have any spice or any flavor that I could discern. It was basically fried chicken in liquid. The combo chicken was not spicy at all and in fact, it was kind of sweet, which is weird for Compal chicken compared to everywhere else I've ever had it. The teriyaki chicken was the only part that I thought was reasonably good and even that was only OK. SERVICE: service was OK. The portion sizes were huge and the quantity great so no complaints there. COST: again, cost was very reasonable, especially for how much they give you. If the food was better, this place could easily be a 5 Star Pl. but instead, the best I could give it is three stars.

Way better than Panda Express at Panda Express the noodles are thin and weirdly crispy for some reason but this place the noodles are smooth long and thick perfect plus one of the ladies there gives us extra chicken so there's a

first time at this place will be the last time. Something as simple as sweet-and-sour pork and sesame chicken was terrible. meat for both dishes was tough. Don't go there.

The Chinese food was the most bland and tasteless that I have ever experienced. The Hot and Sour soup had all kinds of food additions including chunks of chicken which seemed to take away flavor of traditional Chinese soup. The sesame chicken was suppose to be spicy but it also lacked flavor (definitely not spicy) and breaded chicken crust was sort of mushy. Yuk! The Beef and Broccoli was mostly large pieces of broccoli with a few tiny pieces of beef. Very disappointing food experience.

Really wonderful Chinese American Fast food. Their direct competitor is Panda and I find this much better. I got the combo plate with sweet and sour pork, orange chicken, veggie chow mein, and fried rice. That plus a medium fountain soda brought the total to $17.18I would personally suggest going full chow mein. The "fried" rice isn't bad but it seems to be more of a flavored sticky rice as far as texture goes. The chow mein is a delicious thick noodle type. The orange chicken is very delicious. It's thinly battered and thinly sauced,so you get wonderful large pieces of chicken with a nice slightly subtle orange flavor while still having a bit of crispness from being friedThe sweet and sour pork stood out less to me, I just was trying to avoid two chicken entrees. Next time I'm here Im going to try the teriyaki chicken as I got here 30 min after opening and it was already an empty pan, so it seems to be very popular

Being single & a lazy cook, I rely much on reasonably priced, pre-made, takeout food. One of my weekly go-to takeout places is Hop Hing's Kitchen for Chinese food. My normal order is teriyaki chicken (medium), chow mein (large), & plain white rice (medium). The total cost for my order is under $25 & is enough for 2-3 meals. HHK is not just for takeout. If you desire, there are tables/chairs available if you want to eat your food there. If I go to a typical Napa Chinese restaurant, a similar HHK type order would cost me approx $35+ (with tip), $10, or about 40% more. HHK's food can easily hold up to these FULL SERVICE, Chinese restaurants, despite its smaller size menu selection. HHK satisfies MY OWN personal needs. HHK is a place to consider if you want fast, cafeteria style, simple/limited menu Chinese food at a reasonable price.

Food was just OK and not very fresh. Comparable to Panda Express. Panda is cheaper and more consistent with freshness of their food. Better variety at Panda too.

This was so bad we paid and left it on the table uneaten. All the food tasted the same -no flavor.

From San Fran to campbell I thought was horrible, but found fondly was a few cheaper solutions even lower than panda.. yet I would find these fine dinning compared to this all day soup like slop fest with an attitude like their chit don’t stink. God this is dumpster dive galore and I would think this horrendous to even give to the homeless.. I have gone to some fast Chinese food placesIn San Jose that at least had crisp veggies… omg… this was liquid goo… I took one lookAt this and I am sorry Sewer line… but it ain’t me I swear…I would give this place a negative 5 and I feel for those that have been made to think this food is edible. I feel truely sorry do you that this has happened…. But, I guess people don’t come to napa for Chinese food….If you’re new to the area. Forwarned, the locals got this place all wrong cause obviously they hasn’t had even an smitherine fraction of a mega decimal better…My heart truely goes out to you all

We love this place. Definitely as good as any Chinese place in Napa and beyond.
