My husband and I had a tasting booked with CJ on Halloween. It was our first stop in Napa and I am so glad that was the case! She was such a sweet woman and taught us so much during our tasting, from why you hold the glass by the stem, to why you swirl the wine before you drink it, and what foods bring out which elements in the wine.We had a wonderful experience and found ourselves thinking back to CJ at other wineries when they’d hand us a glass by the bowl or try to sell a bottle that needs to sit for another 6 months ;)We left with a much better understanding of how to pair our food to our wines to bring out the elements we like best. I can’t recommend the tasting experience at Judd’s Hill enough!

Judd's Hill Winery is simply marvelous! We first read about the winery in an article titled “Top 10 Small Wineries in Napa Valley”. It certainly deserved to be listed, and was well worth the visit. Every wine was delicious and Ryan, our host, was absolutely outstanding. Add it to your Napa winery itinerary, you can’t do better.

My friends and I did a wine blending class here and it was such a great experience. We tasted and discussed 4 different wines straight from the barrel. Then we each came up with our own blends. After everyone made their blends we sampled each one and voted on the best blend then bottled one for each of us. We even got to customize the label. Would definitely recommend this experience.

Made a reservation here for the wine making bootcamp for my sister's birthday! They were very easy to work with and accommodating to me making a reservation. When we got there, cj was our host. She's very lovely and has made our experience a good one! She's knowledgeable and we all learn a lot from her. From learning about the different wines, and leaving with our own personal creations in a bottle. We would happily recommend this place for everyone! Everyone in my party had a lot of fun! Do check out this place :), will definitely revisit one of these days

Came here with our friends who are members so we were treated to a free tasting. I was a bit full from lunch so I just tried the first wine that was brought over, which I did like. I don't know if I caught the name of the gentleman helping us but he was super nice and had a good sense of humor. He explained the wines, sat with us for a bit, answered questions, etc. Truly a nice guy you'd want as a friend. My husband and friend mostly stuck with the set wine tasting list which included 6 wines (that's a lot of wine!) which were brought out in a cute beakers and placed on a sheet so it was easy to keep track of which wine was which. At the end, he also brought out a dessert wine which definitely smelled sweet. So in total, I think my husband and friend were able to try 8 wines? Good thing they weren't driving! The grounds themselves are very pretty and our host explained the surrounding vineyards and why some were planted in one way vs another, different varietals, the history, etc. It's definitely a smaller winery and there were only 2 tables (I think) set up outside and there was another party at the other table, but no where near us which was kind of nice, too. Would highly recommend this winery for a nice afternoon.
The fantastic wines were our second favorite thing about Judd's Hill. Our host CJ was first - a great educator, storyteller and comedienne.

This place is amazing. We had Ryan guide us through the Block Party wine flight, with the history of the winery, chemistry of the wines, and everything in between. Each wine was so clean and memorable. I recommend the reserve Chardonnay for a creamy finish without the oak barrel heaviness. I LOVED how personable everyone was and dedicated to making your experience as personalized as possible. Thank you Ryan, it was fantastic.
