We didn't end up dining here but I wanted to leave a five star because the server gentleman recommended the place next door because we were looking for cocktails and tapas. So we didn't end up dining here but the recommendation was solid (same owner).

La Taberna is one of my favorite spots in Napa! The menu is great and fairly priced - there's lots to try, but you have to get the pig ears, pork belly, and idiazbal flan at the very least. You can't go wrong.
The restaurant was pretty busy. They don’t take reservations, so keep that in mind. Outdoor seating is limited. We had our pup with us and stood at the outside counter. Not being able to sit wasn’t a problem for us though. The service was fast and friendly. The food was really tasty. We had some ceviche and empanadas and a few other things that were all very good. Overall a very nice experience. Will definitely dine here again.
This is a hidden gem in downtown Napa! The food is phenomenal, and the prices are very reasonable for a tapas restaurant. My husband and I ordered so many delicious plates, but our favorites were the pig ears, the empanadas, and the lamb tartare. We will definitely be back next time we are in Napa!

Lovely staff and team but the food was terribly disappointing.Two hairs in food (empanada and ceviche) very basic, the version of paella was awful, stick to the basics and use rice. Sorry for poor review but very sad our last night was so disappointing.

This is a great spot for date night or to just have a nice small plate and glass of wine by the river. Their cocktails are also excellent. My absolute favorite is the Sandeman port with the chocolate and peanut butter dessert, and we also always order the lamb tartare and crispy pig ears. We’ve never gone wrong with anything we’ve ordered here. And the wait staff is very nice.The reason I say this is a great date night place is that all of the wine and cocktails are delicious, and the plates are rich and allow you to share. While the atmosphere just lends to a nice intimate but not too fussy experience. So it’s very relaxing and disarming for that 90 minutes or so when you can just enjoy some really tasty food and take in Napa.
