This is easily my favorite taqueria in Napa! I'm in love with their variety of tacos including fish (grilled or fried), carne asada, shrimp, grilled octopus, chicken, and grilled oyster. Ever since reopening under new ownership they have also brought back the salsa bar and expanded their selection of drinks which has been a nice touch. They also give really great service--especially for a non-formal restaurant.

So glad La Tequiza is back after a short closure ! And again the food is still delicious, as before! Some of the best tacos in the Napa Valley , the Ceviche is also some of the best, the whole menu from Pepita salads to bowls are solid choices of flavor, freshness and authenticity!

I had the fried fish taco, carnitas taco and carne asada. Very good tacos and I like that I can pick my own salsa on the side. Very good and big portions! Will definitely be back!

Haven't been here for years ,heard they got new owners 2024 ? And I have been on a Mexican food kick lately. So I go I ask what comes on a he says meat ,beans ,rice Pico de Gao and guacamole .so I asked if I could have my guacamole on the side and he said yes. Casher reads back my order borito with guacamole on the side ok .OK 15.25 out the door if I am correct I think he charged me for guacamole on the side. That's 3.00 extra.casher must be pocketing money or it's just a nother way of deceptive practices to make more on customers .maybe they charge for chips and the salsa, I don't know .so I get home first bite beans, second bite beans, third bite you know BEANS then I start thinking did they give me a bean boritto where is the meat? Looked at the inside and it looks like they put a thin line right in the middle then wrapped it up. Usually all the meat gets pushed to the bottom well got to the bottom and all that was left was beans,beans,beans. The whole experience was a ripoff maybe because I am a white person they gave me less and charge me more ,I am starting to think that the Mexican people don't like napa people, word will get around .

I think this place has a lot of potential. The food is not bad, it's just bland. There's nothing special, and considering the price the charge, add some seasoning. Make it wow. Staff was nice and the restaurant was clean but again just drab atmosphere.
La Taquiza is open again. Yummy. So happy. Their fish tacos are the best and they reopened their salsa bar. Highly recommend great food, fast service and friendly people.
