The service was amazing but the food and atmosphere were otherwise ordinary.

We had the Wagyu Gyoza, wagyu Carpaccio, and Ishiyaki Buri Bop. Everything was good. The only issue is that the Carpaccio was cut thicker than I have previously experienced and my 2nd piece was full of gristle.

I've loved going to Morimoto's for years here in Napa, and this time I have to say I was very disappointed with the new Calimari Salad. I didn't like that the lettuce leaves were left whole. Seems like it shouldn't cost much to chop up a few leaves. It was such a lovely salad before. Sad to see it changed. Also, seemed overall more salty than the last visit.Vegetarian options: They say that most dishes can be adapted.

This place is absolutely spectacular. I took business clients here and we all loved everything. The rock shrimp appetizer is to die for - particularly the wasabi sauce. We had the duck fried rice (very good), the appetizer tacos, and spicy tuna rolls. All were excellent. We shared the special surf and turf - tempura lobster with wasabi and sliced short rib. So very good. Finally the dark chocolate sphere which was delicious. Cannot wait to come back. This is an excellent option in Napa and very unique. I would say it is much better than the famous Nobu. A+

Alex the bartender / server. He made amazing recommendations that we enjoyed. Highly highly recommend. Sticky ribs are always our go-to. Crab rangoon was really tasty.

The food is tasty-as you would expect it to be. But with as much as you pay for your meal and the atmosphere, you would expect that the restrooms are clean. There was trash/toilet paper all over the floor and one was completely closed for use.

It was a family dinner celebrating a birthday. The service was excellent [Manny was our waiter]....and the food even better! The 3 sticky rib appetizer was very tasty and the braised black cod was delicious. Our 36 year old son said it was the best fish dinner he ever had! So were the rest of the meals. Thanks for everything!! Bob

Thank you to the front staff for giving us a corner table! Our server Amir was our gracious host. Thanks for giving us a memorable dining again. He was backed up by Karina. Awesome service 5 ⭐️ plus

A great Asian food place in the heart of Napa downtown. Foods are good quality and made to perfection. Softshell crab roll and hamachi taco was outstanding. Wines are good but their clam miso soup and tofu miso soup were also great complement to the drink!

Exquisite! Morimoto's is my favorite restaurant in Napa. You can never go wrong. The service is superb and it's the perfect spot to have a festive time with friends or family and a fantastic healthy meal.

Really disappointed. We have been to Morimotos in the past and had great experiences both times. We were expecting the same but sadly, it wasn't great. Service was sporadic, food wasn't great and came out in strange sequences - we ordered sides to go with the entrees, but the sides came out 20 minutes earlier than the entree. Won't be coming back.

We loved celebrating our anniversary dinner at Morimotos. This was our first time at this restaurant and the food, drinks, and service were amazing. We got the BBQ oysters as our appetizers and some of the best we have ever had! We will be coming back again.

Been here many times, and it i always good. I will say we came a little later in the day for lunch and the restaurant was largely empty, yet the host tried to seat us in some tight, dark corner when the entire restaurant was wide open. She was very accommodating when we asked for a different table, which we appreciated. The service was good, but slow. Watching this, it was clear the server's priority was his "side work": Folding Napkins, etc. (which I know has to be done before he leaves his shift, but I think if he had poured our wine more readily (rather than waiting for glasses to be totally empty) he might have sold a second bottle. Overall he was very pleasant and competent. The food was good, but ironically the "hot" dishes were better than the cold ones (which is not usually the case). It felt like the cold dishes were perhaps done earlier and then plated? (could be wrong on that); Bottom line was they were just "ok". The Sushi was excellent as always. This is a very good restaurant and I will be back; It just felt like it was off a bit (hence a 4 star review instead of 5 like I usually would leave). Perhaps avoid late lunches there?

What an incredible experience, food was off the hook and service on point. We had the A5 tasting and the chefs sashimi selection. We also had a black cod and rice dish called a bop served table side with an egg yoke....wow get this!
