Delicious Pinots that were smooth and versatile. Of course we bought a case home.

Amazing place, slightly off the beaten track and all the better for it! Cosy, pretty and tranquil, thanks so much to Ry for explaining all the wines and parings and lovely to chat to a fellow gardener! From Adam and Izzy, a couple of Brits on honeymoon

We love this place. Pinot Noirs are amazing, the Cab Franc is a show stoper and the Merlot is a sleeper. The plate of bites the kitchen delivers is always spot on pair with the wines offered that day and always seasonal.

This was our favorite stop during our trip to the Napa Valley. I would highly recommend the tasting. It was unique and well paired with our food. We had two hosts and both were really great at helping us learn more about the winery and the philosophy. We really enjoyed the wine and the grounds were also gorgeous. I was amazed at how unpretentious it was.

Known for their Pinots and Marie Sinskeys food pairings their base Pinot Noir and the Three Amigos Pinot ( from their southern vineyards in the Valley). A winery based on their biological vineyard farming system the vineyard also sells knitting materials from their animals on their properties. Went back on a weekend. They still serve meals but on a scheduled basis. Good to call ahead and make a meal tasting reservation. You can still go for a regular wine tasting.Robert and Marie are actively revitalizing their winery post Covid and making sure their wines are available in your favorite restaurants and wine storesNow of course if you are visiting Napa along the Silverado trail and want some great Pinots or are entertaining guests, this is a great place to get educated, buy a couple bottles you might not find ln your local store or restaurant. While many staff have moved on the winemakers are around to answer your questions and make you feel right at home during tastings. Highly recommend you join their glutton club

We have been here before and enjoyed our visit. We thought while passing through this morning we would stop by with family. The sign says "reservations recommended. It does not say required". When approached by the hostess she was very dismissive, with only three other cars in the parking lot she said we could not have a tasting because our party of six was too large to accommodate. When we said we would split into separate tables she said that would not work either since they didn't have enough staff to serve us. She wasn't friendly about it either. Did not offer the bar or to buy a bottle or anything further. On a Sunday afternoon if you can't handle four cars of visitors, you shouldn't be open. In the very least, she could have at least been more gracious about it. We frequent Napa Valley for wine, however we will no longer recommend nor return here!

Did the root to table tasting. All the wines were excellent along with the accompanying food. Spanish style omelet was a highlight. The guy leading the tasting was very knowledgeable and personable. Note I'm pretty biased since I did this tasting with my mom who's a member so this was decently subsidized by her annual tasting discount, but still the experience was enough to convince me to get a membership. I think the quarterly membership is a great option for young 20 somethings who might be looking to explore more wine, the cooking element is definitely a perk.

Very nice. We enjoyed the Root-to-table wine tasting. Great wine accompanied by excellent, fresh and innovative cooking! Definitely recommended experience.

True to my previous review (almost 10 years ago) we made it back here for the Root to table tasting. The experience was the best out of the 8 or so wineries we visited on our trip to Sonoma/Napa. You get a private table (my assumption was we'd be seated family style with other groups). Each wine was better than the next, and you get to sample a fair amount of both reds and white, and at the end of the tasting they ask if there is anything else you'd like to try.The food was just as good as the wine. We used this as our lunch for the day, and it was the perfect amount of food. The grazing board they bring you had so many unique and delicious bites that paired amazingly with the wine being served. Was such a nice relaxing and different wine tasting experience.Service for the entire food and wine tasting was great. Each wine was explained to us, all of our questions were answered and we didn't feel rushed at all.Definitely recommend the root to table tasting.

Our group had a wonderful visit at RSV. The winery is beautiful with flower and vegetables gardens right outside their main house. There is also a koi pond and some benches. We arrived a little early for our tasting reservation, so we enjoyed visiting the grounds and snapping pictures. We got the Root to Glass tasting and it was well worth it. We got to try so many wines and even some that weren't on their tasting list. The food (snacks) is all made in-house from their own gardens. We had a great time chatting and tasting, and we never felt rushed. They have some great discounts if you purchase 12 or more bottles, so of course we did. It was a great time and the staff was awesome!

Went there recently. Beautiful setting. We did the tasting with food and the food was excellent. The amount of food they give you is a taste though and not a meal. We thought we were having lunch. We asked to buy more food but they said they don't sell any food separate from the tastings. We had snacks in the car and thought we'd sit outside afterwards before heading out and were told we couldn't have any of our own food on the property. So after all that wine we couldn't buy food or eat out own. How ridiculous.

Went for a wine tasting and curated lunch experience. Was a beautiful experience. The food was really good and the wine was even better. Our attendant was very personable and knowledgeable

Their Root to Table option was amazing! The food was right amount with small bites and a sharable flat bread for two. We got six different wines to pair with. It was a bit crowded inside but overall the vibe was chill and welcoming. We’ll come back!

Skip this winery. Wine is awful and "root to table" tasting was a joke! Food was minuscule and bland.
