Small little shop. 10/10 would definitely recommend. Closest to the island that I can find so far. I usually go to poke etc but wanted to try this place. And I wasn't disappointed. My new favorite spot

The BEST poke in SD hands down! Their fish is super fresh and WOW love all the different flavor profiles - this isn't your standard run of the mill poke shop. The staff and owner were welcoming, attentive and kind. Tried 2 tuna and 1 salmon plate and added shrimp tempura. Can't wait to return!

Solid poke spot with a big variety of flavors. It seems pretty authentic and the workers are always really nice. Nice, clean open space. I think there are a few tables if you wanted to dine in though we took ours to go. One drawback was the texture of the fish can be inconsistent, with some a bit tougher which not everyone may enjoy.

Friendly, small and very clean spot for some real authentic poke style! Few options for flavors but means those flavors actually are tasted in every bite!!! Will be going again! Go try this place they run out of options quick! Citrus salmon was my favorite!

Has this place officially become my top authentic poke place in SD? Yes. Yes it has. So much to the point that my bf and I bought two 1/2 lbs of poke, ate some in the car, and then ran back inside to buy two more 1/2 lbs of poke!! It's a small establishment inside but they're very efficient in getting out your order. To preface, my bf and I are big salmon people... we hardly ever like most ahi poke because the ahi tastes too irony and fishy for our taste. But let me just say that their ahi tuna may be even better than their salmon!! I'm shocked to admit that but well-deserved as their fish quality is fresh and juicy! Overall, their sauces lean towards the more sweeter side so I def recommend getting some rice to balance it out. We got 3 different flavors: kali ahi tuna (MUST GET), creamy scallop salmon masago, and their black garlic salmon!! Kali ahi (100000/10): oh my god, I'm so surprised at how the seasoning perfectly complimented the ahi. It's like their version of a California roll style sauce? Or at least that's what we interpreted it as since there was imitation crab mixed in the sauce. This is a MUST. If you try only one thing, let it be this! It also has bits of avocado slices as well. Creamy scallop salmon masago (5/5): My second favorite from this shop!! They include scallop slices in it as well and it's kinda like a creamy mayo sauce and ofc, they include masago!!! Yum!! Not too sweet! My bf and I ate the entire half lb in the car without rice bc it was so good! We saved the other half lb for when we got home and ate it with rice. Delicious!! Black garlic salmon (3.5/5): so good initially but we realized it was really really sweet so we wouldn't get it without having a side of rice. Salmon was so soft, melt in your mouth but sauce was reminiscent of oyster sauce/eel sauce. Anyways, I will happily make my boyfriend drive 20 mins to get us some poke :p

8th & B is the best poke spot in SD!!! Its not like the generic tasting poke and it tastes like its made with love each time. All flavors are extremely fresh and very flavorful! The service is also personable and welcoming, there is not a bad thing that I can say about 8th & B besides its constantly sells out before 1/2pm! Def come check out this place, best believe you will be satisfied :)

The best poke I had next to the poke from Hawaii of course. So good that you'll keep wanting more. I will definitely be coming back when I'm in National City!

They are not authentic Hawaiian Poke shop. They put sugar in every Poke even in the classic Shoyu Poke and spicy Poke. Why??! We are from Oahu, we got their Poke plate for $80, not worth it, taste disgusting. Overall we won't recommend them.

Wow; this is the best poke of my life hands down. I attempted to come here at 2:00 pm and they were already sold out for the day. However, I got here before noon today and am so glad I came! The tuna is so decadent and rich and tender. I didn't know poke could be tender but it is. The flavors are complex and delicious and everything tastes so fresh. I can't wait to come back.

I'm originally from San Jose and was in the area for about 2 months for work back in August. I didn't really know much about the area and I was on a quest to find some good poke because it's my favorite. When I found 8th & B poke and tried their food, I instantly fell in love. This is THE SPOT to go to and hands down one of the best poke I've ever had. I've gone on multiple occasions, tried different items on the menu and have brought a few friends along to try it out. Staff is also very warm and inviting and I'll definitely be back when I visit again. Highly recommend!
