Really good poke! The small was pretty big to me and it had a good amount of everything. For me there was a bit too much rice but I came during a rush. Very clean, and nice and cold inside. I would come back when Im craving poke again!

First made the drive down to Blue Poke for a Yelp event, but came back a few times when I found myself in the area. There are a few other blue pokes that have since opened closer to central San Diego with one in North Park, but I think the quality varies from location to location- this location in National City being the best! First of all, the design of the store is so fun and I could tell it was clean and well maintained. I had a delicious poke bowl with my favorite spicy ahi (minced style). They have a good number of toppings to choose from along with great sauces. This is what I like to call "chipotle style" poke where you build your bowl, but everything was good! Easy parking to grab your bowl for take-out!

So this was the last thing I ate before I had found out about a worm I had. Everything I had eaten before was fully cooked. Maybe this is just a risk that is unavoidable when eating raw fish but unforutnely as good as the food is I won't be coming here again.
