I would not recommend coming here for the salads, Frutas is kinda pretty pricey in general, so if you want to make your moneys worth go for the sure shot: tortas, smoothies, ensalada de frutas, elote. The salads are just not worth it, unless you like paying $20 for iceberg lettuce, cheap dressing, some frozen chicken and a agua de tamarindo mediana ?.
My açaí bowl was ready in about 2 minutes. Fast, right? Well, the açaí part was frozen. I think they prep the açaí in advance and freeze it in the bowl. Then when a customer orders it, they just grab the bowl from the freezer and add the toppings. My plastic spoon couldn't even scoop anything, so I'll be defrosting the bowl and eating it later. The Raise the Dead juice (beet & orange) is good though.

This is a good place for everyone in San Diego to visit- the Bonita location is safer and more of an aesthetic area, but I go to this one because they don't charge me extra when I need an additional salad dressing. Service: very rarely will an English speaking cashier be working, so the male torta guy always helps translate. He's very kind. I do see how some of these reviews say there's really poor service here, I've experienced that too, usually from the non English speaking...read full review
