I gave this rating a 3. I bought a breakfast entree just to try and some chicken porridge. it was a bit underwhelming. Went there a 2nd and 3rd time for other entrees. Nothing spectacular. The porridge, was ok, but lacking in chicken. For 8 dollars I didn't think it was worth it. Small eatery, clean with friendly staff.

Great service!!! They delivered under pressure and my team loved the cake. I definitely look forward to doing more business with them. Than you Trining’s.

Go to spot when we're in town for pandasal. Have to pick up bags for our relatives in NCAL every time we visit SD.

My dad and I tried this place. Great customer service! We told them that it was our first time as they have a lot of choices on their menu. My dad and I shared the dinuguan and fried crispy salmon. The taste of the food was great. We bought other items too like kutsinta, polvoron, chicharon, turons, and taho. All of them were good as well. Will have to come back and taste their other food! FYI...the place is small so they might run out of tables and chairs if you were planning to eat there during their busy times.

Who doesn't love lumpia?! To me, this spot makes the best tasting lumpia in Manila Mesa. Whether I'm getting a 25 piece or 150 piece I always end up dipping into the stash and having my fill before I hit the destination. It's that addictive lol staff is very nice, patient and extremely helpful. I am Filipina, born here in the USA and regret growing up being picky when it comes to foods from my ethnicity. My questions of all the foods I don't recognize are always answered with a brief description with no judgement. Everyone is friendly. If the line is out the door it moves pretty fast.

Food 2 of 5 - its ok, not the best filipino food out there. Some items are way too greasy and pricey. Service 0 of 5 - don't expect your typical welcoming filipinos. Servers here are rude specially the short haired lady. Will only come back for the fresh pandesal.

One of the best place in San Diego for filipino foods. The pandesal is hot and the tapsilog was amazing. They're friendly and serve you with a smile.

We were at Hobby Lobby and grabbed lunch on the way home! Sriracha Wings were the perfect blend of sweet and spicy, and the lumpia was firm, flaky and delicious. The star of the show was the Garlic Rice, so good and the spam and egg were a great addition. We plan to be back soon for a tray of lumpia and to try the adobo! Service was great, too!

I'm a s***** for Filipino comfort food. What I appreciate the most about this spot isn't actually their entrees, but their wide array of Filipino baked goods. If you're looking to pick up some home baked hopia, bao, or turon, look no further! Their Filipino food is good as well, but I'm used to my regional cuisine so the longganisa had a taste I wasn't used to. Portions felt kind of small, but I would definitely be back!

A sunny place in every way, the pastry filled with chicken and something else is absolutely worthy of a stop, with a view over a beautiful selection of white and blue birthday cakes.

We’d bring pandesal for family meals but the parents kept saying we should check this place out and skip on Bread Deluxe (nothing wrong with it, just not as good). And they were right, what took us so long? The best pandesal in San Diego. The turon is great too.

5 Stars for the pan-de-sal (bread). I walk in, grab and pay for a bag of pan-de-sal, then walk out. Pan-de-sal is usually served warm for breakfast with hot coffee. Nothing fancy. You can add some cheese or mayonnaise or both! It has some mild sweetness and saltiness to it. I suggest to use the oven instead of microwave when heating up. It gets a little chewy if placed longer than 10-15 seconds in the microwave. Enjoy!

My sweet Filipino co-worker recommended I try Trinings because it's her favorite. I finally got to try it today and I was impressed!BEST LUMPIA SHANGHAI EVER! (25pcs for $18.75)I'm not Filipino, buuuut I am a huge fan of lumpia, especially to bring to family gatherings/house parties/work potlucks. They're always a hit! Well TRINING'S HAS THE BEST LUMPIA! There, I said it! The wrapper is fried perfectly and crisp, but not oily/greasy. It's delicate and thin. The pork and carrot mixture inside was really tasty. Each lumpia held up really well. Every bite had equal parts meat and wrapper. They were about 5 inches long, so a pretty decent size. I've tried 3 other lumpia spots in the area, and this one is by far the best!!BEST PANCIT BIHON EVER! (Medium size $17.50 but could easily serve 3-4 ppl)There are a variety of different pancit noodles to choose from. I was a bit overwhelmed to be honest because there were no pictures, only Filipino names. I went with the tried and true, thin noodles (Pancit Bihon) and it was BOMB. The pancit here is fully loaded y'all. It has shrimp, vegetables, sausage, and lemons to squeeze into it. You will not be disappointed! Cooked well, not dry, wet, or oily. Literally perfection.PLATE COMBOS ($8.99 to $11.99)There are multiple different plate combos (kind of like Panda-style, where you pick your entree items). The combos usually come with white rice but I think you can sub for pancit for an add'l charge. I tried the garlic pork chop and pork adobo. At first, I was disappointed because the chicken adobo had sold out. BUT OMG- the pork adobo was DELICIOUS. They use fatty pork (almost like pork belly) so the meat was very tender. The seasoning was perfect, not too salty, just right. Highlight of the two was definitely the pork adobo.GARLIC WINGS (6 for $10.50)If you like Golden Chopsticks wings, then you'll probably like the wings here better because the chicken remains tender and juicy and the batter is more flavorful than the competition. LOCATIONIt is located in the giant Target/85C/Menya Ultra plaza and towards the Vinh-Hung supermarket side.AMBIENCEI mean, this is really meant to be a carry-out place imo though they have like 3 tables inside. MENUI just wish there were photos accompanying each item on the menu b/c that would be much more helpful to someone like me. Instead I had to ask a lot of questions to figure out what I wanted to get.PARKINGThere are multiple rows of parking here and some 15 minute ones out front too. Usually not an issue in this part of the plaza,

So I don't like the cheese rolls here but their Carioca,Pancit bihon and sisig will keep me coming back for more! Must filipino restaurants have a display of food to pick from, but they don't here. You order and they make it. I wish they had pictures of each item on their menu.
