This has been a favorite of our family. My mom is Japanese and we have gone to others. But she says this is the best one!!I would also go get lunch and take it to one of my mom's Japanese friends. I was taking care of her and she was a picky eater.This is where I go every year for my Birthday, when my son & grandson take me and also for mother's day.Also the service and prices are excellent.Parking: Located in the Town & Country strip mall.Kid-friendliness: I have always taken my kids and now my grandkids!
Love this place, service is prompt and food is ready very quickly. Best portions probably in San Diego for Japanese food. Definitely a local favorite! I don't care how Americanized this food is, if at all, (never been to Japan) but it is amazing and always hits the spot! Keep up the good work!

Food was average. We had the bento boxes and the beef teriyaki was tough and the chicken teriyaki was chewy. We also had iced tea in very old plastic glasses. Same as I used here 30 yrs ago! Prices have gone up for lunch! 4 people with iced tea was 90 dollars plus tip. This used to be one of my favorites in the past, but it needs a remodel bad. But the most important thing is good food with good prices, and this was not the case today.

Ordered the following: *Chula Vista Roll In: Krab, Shrimp Tempura, Cream Cheese, Avocado w/ Eel Sauce, Crunchy on top, Sesame, Spicy Mayo *Rainbow Roll (4 or 8pcs) In: Krab, Avocado Top: Tuna, Avocado, Salmon, Albacore, Red Snapper, Shrimp Fire *Oyako don (chicken and vegetables, mixed eggs over rice w/ sauce) Served with Miso Soup The food was okay. The sushi rolls were okay but unfortunately didn't impress me. The Oyako Don was sharable.

He didn't know who ordered what and just droppped bowls and plates at the end of the table and tells whoever's at the end to pass to whoever ordered it. When he was serving the bowls of soup, his thumb dipped in the soup for a little bit. Mango lemonade tasted bad, karaage chicken was very bland, chicken fried rice was good, sushi platter were decent if you're hungry. They have a lot of customer when we came so it made us think they have some good food but we were told it's a hit or miss kind of thing. The other female servers were great and were more attentive than the old man. Don't go to this sushi restaurant, try the other ones that are close by.

This place is great. The food is phenomenal good. The service is good love their happy hour for their Sapporo beer. I tried to come here at least twice a month. Highly recommended.

My family has been coming here for years now and I have always enjoyed my food and experience. The staff are always very welcoming and are friendly towards all the guests. I love the fact that they are always busy and the food comes out pretty fast no matter the wait. The longest I've waited to be seated was nearly 2 hours but I'd say for the price and experience it is worth it.

Nice place to eat some japanese food, we got there and it was full so we had to wait outside, food is good prices are average service can be slow but once the waitress is there is pretty polite, they have beer and you can seat to drink and/or eat at their bar.
