People who ordered after me got their food before I did sad they shut down all the other sarku Japan I use to go to the one in north county fair. I don't recommend this one. There are a lot of other choices in the food court. It is a busy location since plaza Bonita is very popular so it super loud and busy.
If I could give 0 stars, I honestly would. I purchased food here Sunday evening for dinner to take home. After a few bites and a couple hours later, my husband and I had gotten EXTREMELY sick/food poisoning. It was so bad we both had to miss a day from work and for our second day we're still recovering. I would like to see if I can get a refund as I didn't finish the meal. I was honestly disappointed, I love sarku japan and I was saving the rest of my meal for a late night snack but was so grossed out, I had to toss it in the trash. Never again am I eating mall food. I work in the food industry myself and I'm hoping this place temps the chicken to 165°F. Having a gastro complaint is not good.

I had teriyaki beef meal added shrimp to it right on top. Expertly prepared by Japanese Chefs. I have been to Japan and All over Asia. This is VERY VERY GOOD.

What would I would without Sarku japan! Fresh Chicken or Beef Teriyaki cooked right in front of you - The combo comes California rolls using real avocado. Honestly better sushi than I've had in actual sushi restaurants, and the price is on point! I would even order extra sometimes. Polite staff too that work hard and fast. Definitely worth it 110%.

Located at food court at Westfield Mall Plaza Bonita! Busy spot with just ok eats. You can see the cooks in action while waiting for your order. I ordered beef teriyaki bento. Beef was not of the best cut but ok non the less teriyaki sauce was just ok. Rice was cooked perfectly and not soggy like some places. Grilled veggies were plain in taste. Maybe if they put some of the teriyaki sauce on it it would be better in flavor. Gyoza were good in flavor and plumb sauce packets was a nice compliment. DO NOT order their shrimp tempura! ALL tempura and BARELY any shrimp! Waste of your money! California roll was actually simple yet very good in flavor, it was very surprising.

In person order taking is highly disorganized. We were in front of the person at the cashier and after asking what we wanted to order and us telling him he turned around multiple times (facing away from us) and do something else without paying attention to us. After a few seconds of ignoring us, he turns back facing us asking again what we wanted to order. This going back and forward caused the order placement to be wrong and us having to wait extra time (we were in a hurry) for the issue to be corrected. What is annoying is that they blamed us for not placing the order correctly when in reality I did, and the issue was the order taker not paying attention to what we were saying. This is not the first time we have encountered issues with service here and for that reason we will look at eating somewhere else when in the area. There are a lot of other food options here without making the order placement more complicated than it is.
this place is in the plaza bonita food court. the shrimp tempura was good. rice and beef teriyaki was nice and hot. water tasted good and cold, but if you want a big cup of water instead of a little styrofoam one, they try to charge you a dollar for it. is it really that expensive? vegetables and gyoza were cold and california roll wasn't that great either, but edible. would come back for the shrimp tempura, that was nice and crispy as it should be.
