Alhamdulillah??probably thee most sacred burger restaurant on Earth , the most loving owners/employees. Basically heaven in a burger. This place I call home and my temple . Everything is created deliciously fresh and perfect. You gotta have more than one in a seating , just so you can go in your car and think about getting 3rds. Inshallah and halal purely made with love. Give thanks for life and eternity!

This is one of the most interesting places ive ever been to. Its one of the most flavorful experiences that ive ever had. Not your traditional burger joint but I loved every bite. They baked the meat and veggies into a pastry so every flavor has a chance to shine. Try the mac and cheese while you're at it to ?Vegetarian options: They have a veggie patty i hear is fantastic

I came here before an event I had the same day. It's in an unassuming spot in Newark. There's plenty of parking and the storefront is easy to see. I went in and was greeted by the owner who was warm and nice. She mentioned what she had ready to come out. I decided to get the Beef burger combo with pink chips and a drink. I kinda wish she had the mac, but I didnt mind. The burger was good, it was cooked perfectly and the pastry was not dry at all. The craft sodas were good also. The impression for this place was number 1 the service. The food also is hella good. I will go back and try the mac if possible.

Ugh what can I say about this place!!! Found it before the pandemic and have continued to be a patron!!Their burgers are absolutely fantastic and are always great never have I had it taste different or off it is consistently delicious!! My go to is the chicken combo with the Mac and cheese and a cookie! The price is great and it can last for two meals! Also they have old school sodas form a local place in alameda and the ginger beer is delicious!!!!! Fountain sodas btw not bottle! Always super nice and great with letting you know about the timing! No seating right now just grab and go! Definitely try this place!!

I moved out of Newark but before I did, I went here pretty much every two weeks for a year and a half and I wish I had discovered them much earlier! I always ordered one chicken and one beef bear bitez and the thyme chips and split them over two days of lunch. So good even left over. The flavor is perfect, always steaming hot inside when I got home. Very nice staff and owner. I moved away 6 months ago and miss this place more than anything else in Newark!

Hearing that this place is rank 14 among the top 100 burgers in America, as a burger enjoyer, we had to stop by!They do have a unique approach to their burgers that they make in house never frozen meats and veggies. When we went, they only had take out but there were some tables outside for us to enjoy our lunch. The service was friendly and efficient.We got the:1) Beef Bear Bitez Burger:-When I saw this burger I was IMMEDIATELY reminded of a pâté chaud or as Vietnamemes would know it as, bánh pâté sô except with sesame seeds on top.-The burger meat inside was nicely seasoned and flavored. It came out piping hot and fresh. A solid burger.-My only caveat is that I can ONLY compare this to a pâté chaud and it makes me wish that the pastry part was a bit more flaky and crispy and that the meat inside was just a bit more moist.-I can see the vision and I feel like if the burger approached this pinnacle of comparison in my mind then I would have fallen head over heels in love as I love all meat carb combos like this.2) Potato Salad:-It's definitely a bit more onion tasting and a bit more liquid-y than the thick potato salad that I'm used to, but it's not bad.-Definitely added another layer of flavor to enjoy along with our burger.-Not too sour or mayo tasting. The potatoes had the perfect texture and there was a good crunch from the onions as well. I don't mind stopping by again and trying their other burgers.

Such an original meat patty pie with veggies layered in between. Vegan patty pie was equally delicious. Had the ginger beer soda with my pie. So delicious!!!! Met the owner-chef and she just made a dozen pies that came out of the oven fresh!!! This is truly a bakery in its own right. Loved the menu. It’s takeout or eat on the picnic bench outside. The menu is halal which is a big bonus!!

i lalalalove savory pastries. their burgers are basically a beef wellington lolive been here pre-lockdown and now post-lockdown and quality of the food hasn't changed.glad they have vegetarian options. keep in mind, no substitutions on any of their burgers; they are already premade. kinda sus but a business has gotta cut some costs somewhere right?sides are pretty good too, try their chips and potato salad!!!their hours dont line up with the times im in the area, but when i am- best believe im grabbing something here

First time here. This has come up in my Yelp before but just hadn't made it here yet, until now. I didn't do my homework before coming (probably should have) but was pleasantly surprised the burgers that Bear Bitez serves is not your traditional burger patties where the meat is between bread buns.At Bear Bitez, the burgers are surrounded by puff pastry and baked. I ordered a beef and a veggie. I was only going to get the beef but the description of the veggie sounded tasty. I will eat half and half to see which one I like more. Why not try both? Life is too short not to.I was relieved to see it wasn't busy. It's the middle of my remote work day so I wanted to grab a fast but delicious meal. Upon entry, I was impressed this small establishment was SUPER. Its counter service and there are only 2 tables indoor and a picnic table outside. The lady behind the counter was very helpful in guiding me through the menu and offering suggestions for which sauces would be good. She even gave me chips on the house. So sweet and generous of her!I really enjoyed sampling both the veggie and beef. I thought the Mayo, ketchup, mustard on the beef and the ranch with some Siracha would be needed since I'm known to be a sauce girl and I enjoy them on my usual burgers. But, my first bite, I actually left them off because I wanted to taste the patty flavors. Honestly, I actually like it without any added sauces. The condiments took away from the actual burger. This is so unusual for me! Since I got a combo, I got the Mac n cheese and the potato salad to go with my meal. Ok. These little side dishes, along with the fact that the burgers are enveloped in puff pastry, really sets Bear Bitez apart from your usual burger joint! I don't think I can let go of the traditional burger repertoire, but the fact that the "mashed potato" salad and the Mac n cheese tasted homemade, gives extra credit to this joint. I love how "out of the box" different Bear Bitez is from the usual burger joint!I'd come back here.
