Ordered 5 drumsticks and 10 wings, crunchy fried chicken. Chicken was good, seasoning on chicken was good, not too salty, just right.Sauce selection was not great. The spicy sauce was NOT spicy enough, it was more like mild. They did NOT have classic BBQ sauce, I think they should have classic bbq as an option at least.Included sides were small, really small. For the price paid roughly 30 bucks, I don't think this was a very good deal.

Nice Korean-style fried chicken place. Seems to be a popular takeout place. The coating is crisp and full of flavor while the chicken meat is tender. I would stick with the simpler fried chicken though, the more niche Oven Padak Chicken left more to be desired. The service is decent. There is a direct online portal to order from. This is mostly a takeout place, so the inside is small.

We loved the Volcano Island Korean Fried Chicken we had last week, so we wanted to try something closer to home. We were really disappointed however that Vons still do not have their dining room open, but honestly it looks like it might be a permanent decision due to lack of staffing and not just Covid precautions. Since it was just the 2 of us we order a half order of Honey Butter Chicken and the Yangnyeom. Both were cooked to order, crispy and very tasty, although I did prefer the Honey Butter Chicken over the Yangnyeom. I preferred the sweeter chicken. Vons is definitely a solid option for Korean Fried Chicken if you live closer to Newark than Hayward.

This place is my go to for Korean restaurant when I miss Korean food! Spicy pork is the bomb! And their service is excellent!Kid-friendliness: They have high chairs or booster!

This location is convenient however trying to reach them to order is the challenge. I called at 8:10 to order take out… could not yet thru and when I finally did after 7 attempts they hung up on me! I guess they are so busy they don’t need more business.

Great local joint run by a family for some fried chicken. They been consistent throughout and I ordered from this place at least once a week during Covid lockdown.

The chicken in this store is not good at all, it has no flavor, and apart from that, it is very burnt, so it is not even enjoyed. I ended up throwing it away Only at Sunny Vale's restaurant Vons Chicken is good the chicken is very tough as it has already been cooked for

Came here for lunch with my lil sis, assuming indoor dining is now available. Unfortunately it wasn't at this Vons location. Although tables were presented like you can dine in, but the other half of the restaurants was not? (Def an eyesore...) My sister still wanted to try their chicken and I wanted to treat her, so we still ended up ordering for TAKE-OUT. We literally dine at FENG CHA (a boba shop about 5-6 buildings over, super nice of the boba shop to allow outside food!) What I ordered: I opt for my usual "SPICY" crispy fried chicken & kimchi fried rice. My sis ordered the crispy yang-nyum & kimchi fried rice. I was sooooooo disappointed with the low amount of garlic soy glaze added to the chicken! ;( (Check out my Livermore location review for the generous amount the wings were toss with the garlic soy glaze!) Services wasn't that great here either....

We did not know what we wanted for lunch. My wife remembered the lunch special at Vons and so we placed our order. We ordered the Yang Nyum Wings special. Wife had sauce on side and I had it on the wings. These wings were spectacular! Loved it. Made me wonder why we have not been back in so long. Flavor was great. Spice was mild yet still felt the mild bite. Wife's wings were crunchy. We are definitely coming back.

Newark California is the worst place called Newark out of all the places called Newark there are.

I was craving KFC (Korean Fried Chicken) so I decided to order to get them at Vons. I ordered online so I didn't have to wait long; my order was ready in about 20 minutes. I got a full combo of Crispy Fried Chicken and rice cake. The fried chicken was so good. It was very crispy and tender; the meat was not dry. As for the rice cake, it was also delicious and chewy. The sauce added a kick to the rice cake. I couldn't stop eating it; too bad the portion was a bit small because I wanted more.Overall, I highly recommend Vons if you like fried chicken. It can be pricier than other stores, but the chicken and sides are worth it.

Came here for the lunch special. I got 6 wings and added kimchi rice for one dollar extra. Also got an order of the rice cakes. This place is clearly centered around the wings which I do agree were delicious! However, I didn't really enjoy the kimchi fried rice. And for the rice cakes, they had a pretty good and somewhat crispy texture to them but the sauce was a little too sweet for my liking. Overall I would come back for the chicken - it is definitely solid, but maybe I'll try the fries instead of rice for my side next time.

The husband and I love our fried chicken. We like to change it up every so often, and Vons is one of our go-to's.We have ordered several times via delivery and takeout with no major issues. We've tried their Mild and Spicy Crispy Chicken, Honey Butter, and Yang-Nyum, all of which are tasty. I personally prefer the Spicy Crispy Chicken or Spicy Yang-Nyum. The chicken comes with radish and slaw, which the flavor and taste fluctuates from time to time, but still appetizing. All in all, satisfied with Vons. I have to admit I prefer their Fremont location better, but this spot still serves crispy yet juicy and tender fried chicken. Recommend giving them a try!

My husband brought me lunch yesterday from the Vons at Mowry and we loved it. Today, we were craving the chicken and since we were in Newark, we decided to stop by here assuming that the chicken would be just as delicious as the one in Mowry, but we were wrong. We ordered a full order (20 pieces) of the crispy Honey Butter chicken, a full order (20 pieces) of the Soy Garlic chicken, and 2 orders of fries. The chicken was really crispy and very dry on the inside, and the fries were not as crispy. It didn't take us long to drive from the restaurant to our house, so I do not believe that the length of the drive was because of the soft fries. My husband and I were pretty disappointed with our visit. I do have to give credit for the young lady who took our order, Sabrina, for being patient with us while we were deciding what to order though. However, other than that I do not think that we will be coming back to this location; instead we will be going to the one on Mowry.
