You guys really messed up not taking care of Julio. He's been a neighborhood staple for 10 years. He's the major reason we even go to the restaurant. Really weak that you wouldn't even respond to his two week notice. I'm sure a majority of the more frequent visitors feel the same. I bet he supplies at least 50% of your business. Sad to see our neighborhood restaurant come to this. Was initially not a fan of the new ownership changes but it seemed like you were making some positive strides and taking some of our recommendations and I was somewhat happy but now that Julio is gone I'm not sure how often we might go there. I know you can not pull business from outside the neighborhood as it's pretty secluded so I don't know whether to wish you good luck or maybe the opposite and we can get someone that cares about their employees. I also want to add, your email address won't accept my emails. Your contact phone number still answers as Local Table ( I wish) and won't accept a voicemail. We have plenty of places in the area that take care of us and their employees.

The food quality and service has always been great at this restaurant. However, the menu was very limited. We were pleasantly surprised at last nights visit when we saw that they had expanded the menu. There are now plenty of appetizer and entree options. My son loved the smash burger. The chicken piccata was also excellent as was the steak.

We just moved back to Dos Vientos and thought we would check out the restaurant. The ambience is good and the food was delicious! We are very picky! The service was great! There is a coupon in the Money Mailer too! Gema also has a full bar!

Salmon was great, kids spaghetti was also good. Pizza tasted good too. Overall, the food was great. The prices were standard for the area. I would recommend this for groups or families who need a spot to stop that doesn't have a crazy wait. We will be going back.

Love the food. I think some Of the past reviews are a little intense. The food is top notch. The service could improve BUT this is not a chain restaurant. It's not fast food. Way better food than any of the other previous restaurants at this spot. Give them a shot!

The Italian food here is really good! Noodles are homemade and my family has loved everything they've tried so far! Pesto pasta is a fav!!

Not impressed. Missing Local Table. It's not a place that our group(s) of friends long to go and meet up with friends, any longer. The lighting in there is outrageous! It's like the lighting in an office building. Fluorescent. Drinks are too expensive and mixed drinks are in small skinny glasses. We are not a farm to table fancy food community. You replaced our local gathering spot where we liked to get appetizers and bar food with options of delicious salads and pizzas, with fancier overpriced food. Don't fix what was not broken. You should have purchased the Local Table and kept it as is. It brought in the same locals in our community, weekly. You need to listen to what our community wants or be another casualty. LT made it the longest for a reason. For godsakes, fix the lighting and turn it down. It's like walking into a warehouse.

Been here 3 times and ... excellent food, good service, improving menu, and overall great experience. Will be coming back to keep trying different offerings.

Hey Gema you need to provide extensive customer service training to your people. Had a horrible experience with a waiter's attitude. Also inside lighting is uninviting. Anyway not going back unless they change their ways.

Food was super fresh and tasty. We appreciate having a nice restaurant close to home. Will be back to try the brunch

After several years of going to this location (Mama Rita's, La Cucina de Venti, Local Table and now GEMA) I am done with this place. While I truly believe in wanting to support a local neighborhood business, our meal the other night was the final straw. The waiter of 10+ years in this location never came by asking for additional alcohol, nor refill our water and it took over 20 minutes to get a check after asking several times. The place was not busy at all that was not the reason. The interior lighting is grey and there is an odd empty case when you walk in. There are many dining options in the Conejo Valley and while I really want to support my neighbors, I am done. The food is just average and due to the hills separating Dos Vientos from the rest of Newbury Park we can see why people do not travel over the hill. (Note - I even emailed the restaurant about our experience and no response)

If you're looking for a good "Happy Hour", this is NOT the place to go. 4 chicken wings for $8, 4 onion rings for $8, 13 calamari for $13...the only deal are the French fries for $4. And, beware of the added 20% tip they add on to the bill. Will not be going back again.

These paid-for 5 star reviews are hilarious. This place used to be good when it was Local Table. New owner decided to go the trendy route with "farm to table" and "family style" claims. For one, it's not family style, the meals are single portion. And by "farm to table" they mean overpriced and inferior versions of what Local Table had (e.g. pizza, bolognese) then it's a huge success. To top it off, the new servers they hired are unresponsive and otherwise appear to have never worked in the restaurant industry before.

New owners are TBD. . . Starting to make the menu too "sports bar-ish"... Dropping the branzino for...chicken nuggets....and TV screens. Was really hoping for a more upscale bar/restaurant option here. We had many ladies nights and Entrepreneurs' nights here when it was The Local Table... We'll see.
