Came to visit family in Newman and tried this establishment for the first time today. Had the best tasting quesabirria tacos and the rest of my family enjoyed the menudo. My mom is the pickiest eater and usually finds fault with almost every meal eaten out. Not at this place though. She absolutely loved the homemade menudo and tortillas. Definitely recommend and look forward to tasting the rest off here menu. Side note, ask for the agua de pepino with chia, very good!

The salsas are made from scratch and all of their food has natural ingredients! The aguas frescas are delicious and spot on always! My 30 minute drive is well worth it!!!Recomendado 100%!

I'm beginning to love my time in newman. A kind of wild west near the bustle of the Bay. Although disappointed that the only decent eat I'm food in town are Mexican, I am pleased that there are some actual decent spots. This is one of them! They are famous for their quesabirrias and in particular the owner makes the most authentic and killer Birria de Chivo. Authentic tic Mexican Goat Birria. Wintertime awesomeness for my family we would go on weekends to eat hot soup and their homemade tortillas and cucumber chia drinks. This is one of my favorite gems. If you want a hot soup this is the spot. Regular food is ok.... but the quesabirries con consomme and their birria soup even the beef birria.... amazing!! Worth it especially for the price!!

Took almost 40 minutes to get our food even though restaurant was almost empty. Burrito was mostly rice and mushy. Ordered a quesadilla with everything and just got it plain. Food was too expensive for what was given.
