Mediterranean food is one of Martin's favorite cuisines. For our appetizer, we tried 6 of their 8 Riviera Crostinis: Seared Tuna Burrata Prosciutto Ratatouille Nicoise Sliced Beef Lemon Ricotta For my entree, I chose their Herb Crusted Lamb Chops -- super fresh, perfectly seasoned, every bite was delicious! We had a wonderful dinner at Fig & Olive celebrating my love's birthday with his best friends. Cheers to many many many more happy birthdays like this one!

Ate here recently with my wife for dinner. When you step inside you feel a nice, contemporary atmosphere and it is not dimly lit like so many other local restaurants nearby. The service was pretty good and attentive. The menu was reasonably varied and our food was well done. Overall a nice place for either family or friends

Wonderful meal supplied by @figandolive at @fashionisland. The ambiance and outdoor dining was perfection, as was the food. My personal favorites were the burger and niçoise salad. All of the sides were yummy options, like the mushrooms and colorful carrot varietals. Most of all, both desserts we ordered (sorbet and apple tart with vanilla ice cream) were fantastic. Overall, great value, plating, tastiness, and restaurant vibes. Would definitely come again.

I was excited to try Fig & Olive Newport Beach because I've had the Los Angeles location bookmarked for so long, but never made the move to dine there due to the distance. The restaurant is beautiful. The ambience is really romantic and classy. We chose to sit at the patio because it was more lively than the dining room. Giant fireplace and ceiling heaters everywhere. If you're looking for a more quiet vibe or if you're there for a serious conversation, then the dining room would be a better option. Drinks: we ordered the cocktails Fig & Olive and Rossellini. Loved the Rossellini and highly recommend! The Fig & Olive tasted like prune juice lol. Food: -Little Gem salad: it was recommended to us by our waitress and it was okay... the ingredients didn't taste fresh and the lettuce was old. It just tasted like a Caesar salad. Not that interesting. -Ribeye: this was the special for the night. Good but it could do without the chimichurri sauce. NOT worth $140 in my opinion (we didn't know about the heavy price tag until the bill came). Usually for that price it should be a tomahawk or something. It doesn't even come with side dishes either! -Roasted rainbow carrots & sweet potato: flavorful. It made my husband (who hates carrots) actually almost finished the whole plate himself. The dessert did not look appetizing to us. So we just asked for the bill. Overall, I think this restaurant is too overpriced for what they serve.

Made a reservation for a table of 5 in the outdoor eating area. I arrive and they tell us there are no tables in the area we made a reservation for. What's the point of a reservation? They place us at a table in the back. We're the only people back there. The table we got is wobbly, the table top has not been cleaned for days, and there's breadcrumbs all over seats. This is Fig & Olive and not IHOP right? Many items on the limited brunch menu are unavailable. Service is slow. The timing of beverages is off. We spent about $700 on brunch, to get s*** service, a s*** table and s*** experience. As I'm writing this, i literally feel discriminated, taken advantage of, and disrespected.

My daughter and I love Fig and Olive Newport Beach. Very saddened to hear they are closing. The ambience last Saturday was wonderful. Our espresso martinis were yummy. And the food, I had fish and my daughter had pasta, was delectable. So wish we had a Fig and Olive in San Diego.!

Food is ok. But the service of the waiters is very bad and they are rude…

Terrible service. Had to ask someone to get our server to order. Took an hour to get our salad (after asking again). Took another 30 minutes to get our dinner (after asking again) while the couple next to us was seated well after us and was finished with dinner while we were still asking for our dinner. No apologies. Just blamed it on being short staffed and a busy kitchen (even though a few staff members were on their phones near / in the bar). Food wasn't flavorful and nothing special.

Very nice looking high ended pricy but gorgeous restaurant in the vicinity of the most famous Fashion Island Mall at Newport Beach along with many other establishments. The parking is easy enough and the numerous olive trees planted on the southeast side of the restaurant where most sunlight shines all year around are so beautiful! Sadly the service was a bit slow unlike high expectations for high prices! Don't get me wrong, all the requirements for being the elite restaurant are there. The ambience, setting and the seating with impeccable table and expensive china, but we had to wait for good fifteen minutes before our server showed up. After he tried to find some paper menus, it took another ten minutes. On the other hand at nine o'clock the lady came around to each table and started taking away our desk ornaments and QR code menus. We asked her if the restaurant is closing, and she said no. Our foods were pretty good. The $26 six small pre-appetizer were all hard bread topped with tiny cooked vegetables and mushrooms. The two large appetizers were just OK. My main dish was Lamb Chop and was delicious. There was no gamy smell. Our pasta dish was somewhat of disappointment. It was Aldante style but few sausages and meager sauce just didn't go well. The hamburger was pretty good. The fish was not that good. Overall solid four stars for your high ended discerning foodies. Their reputation is overrated.

this place exceeded my initial expectations. i was offput by some of the yelp reviews but my boyfriend said that this was one of his favorite restaurants so i wanted to give it a try. when we arrived with a reservation we had a couple of seating options. we opted for the enclosed patio which was really pretty. we were greeted promptly and ordered some drinks--and they have a lot of speciality cocktails. service slowed down a little after that and it took awhile for us to get our food order in--the servers were greatly apologetic so we understood we didn't feel that we were in a rush or anything. we tried out the crostinis, hangar steaks, and the cheesecake dessert. their food is a little lacking compared to the other factors of the restaurant but it was overall an enjoyable experience. i hope to visit again before they close on 03/20/22. ):
