Surprisingly, their tea/drink selection at this location was limited compared to other Happy Lemon's I visited in the past. I ordered the green tea with salted cheese foam, but after I placed my order, they said they didn't have any more so I would have to substitute it with something else. The line wasn't too busy, but there wasn't a good way to see the menu until you reach the front, as their signage only shows their top 10 drinks.

I got the mango green tea with lychee as this is my go-to for any boba place. I'll start with saying I'm a Share Tea drinker. It's my absolute favorite but thought I'd give Happy Lemon a try since I was already at Fashion Island. The menu is only available at the register, which held up the line. Beware - they don't let you adjust the sweetness level here. Even with the delay I only waited about 5 minutes for my drink. I didn't love the tea. It lacked flavor and I wouldn't have guessed it was mango green tea. They did give me a good amount of lychee though, which was nice. Sadly, this won't be my go-to spot.

This place would have definitely gotten 5 stars but they forgot my boba . The food court is kinda interesting located downstairs and there's several restaurants. This one located next to Barnes and Nobles at the end of food court. We got a Mango Jasmine Green Tea they forgot my boba. I believe other drink was a coffee slushy with boba. Both were pretty good in taste. The original waffle was really yummy would go back just for that. If in the area definitely pay them a visit.

Went for stroll at the Fashion Island didn't know there is a bubble tea shop here so I give it a try. Food: I ordered Mango green tea. I didn't adjust the sweetness level it turns out just right not too sweet. I can taste the fragrance of the tea along with mango bits and mango boba add an extra taste, it complements the drink very well. Yummy! Service: one staff but friendly. Ambience: located in the food court.

I came on a Saturday at 5 and I just want to say I had to wait over 20 minutes after I ordered and my drink was still not ready so I asked and they said it would take 15 more minutes which means I would've had to wait a total of 35 minutes for one drink. It honestly wasn't too busy but even with three employees they were extremely behind. None of them were rushing despite the orders and they were all standing around or taking their time
Happy lemon is an objectively good boba place for some reliable boba, so it was my surprise to receive a subpar, and arguably bad, remake of my favorite drink, Mango matcha smoothie at the happy lemon in fashion island. It was not blended fully - I had chunks of ice in my smoothie. The cashier let me know that they ran out of boba and all of the other $0.75 toppings, which is fine, so I substituted my usual topping for crystal boba which is $1.00. It was so disappointing to find that the crystal boba was not fully cooked and was very hard to chew with a rubbery texture. Now, I know $1.00 is not a lot but for a drink that is already $7 I expect at least some quality boba. Normally, I would excuse this type of mishap, but I was the only one waiting for a drink with no one else in line. Maybe it was an off day for the workers, but I'm not too sure if I'll be coming back.

Happy Lemon is probably the most consistent franchise with the best drinks! My only complaints for this location were the wait - probably took about 15-20 minutes - and then how little mango they put in the mango matcha. You can barely even see it in the photos lol

Im really glad Fashion Island got a boba joint!This is a decent boba place. It’s not my favorite but it’s got a good chew on the boba and lots of flavors to choose fromAdjustments are limited on the milk side, so make sure you order a non-milk or one of the few soy milk alternatives. However, you can adjust sweetness and ice levels!The bubble waffle are ok in flavor and texture too.Service is great and attentive so it’s great. However wait times can increase significantly during weekends, so be patient!

My daughter became addicted to Happy Lemon in Hawaii. She keeps talking about the black tea with salted cheese and how much she misses it. I found the Newport Beach location on Yelp, then planned out a day in the area.Needless to say, she was beyond excited when we walked into Fashion Island Mall to find Happy Lemon in a corner of the food court next to Barnes & Noble. There was only one staff member working who was super nice. Service was a bit slow since he was handling the register and making all the drinks and waffles. He missed scanning my daughter's rewards account before the transaction, so she did not get credit for our purchases. He was apologetic but couldn't do anything about it.We ordered the Black Tea (A2), Mango Juice (S3), Strawberry Shake (F5) with Boba and Original Bubble Waffles (J1) with Puff Cream. The drinks are not overly sweet and pair well with the salted cheese. The bubble waffle is made fresh. It's so crisp, light and perfect with the puff cream.Overall a great experience, especially with a very, very happy daughter. :)
