Absolutely the best! Authentic, amazing and delicious, would transport you directly to Italy

We had high hopes for this restaurant as it had a great reputation back in the day. As soon as you pull into the car park you'll find yourself confused as the restaurant has so many signs up including what appears to be temporary signage. As soon as you enter you walk into what is the "outdoor patio" then on your right you'll see the covered bar area with some seating. Can't really be critical of the restaurant itself as it was formerly Bosscat who moved into a larger location down the street. However the decor or lack thereof makes it look like it's a temporary / pop up venue. The service was great, the food was average but certainly overpriced. Flavors were bland and dishes were far from creative and definitely outdated. Limited drinks menu. Compared to other establishments in the OC the prices were similar but the experience was far from comparable - this would not be somewhere you'd go to if you want to impress someone as you would have a lackluster experience.

Our new favorite restaurant! Two trusted foodie friends recommended this place, and it did not disappoint. Everything that we ordered was delicious. Drinks were incredible, too. Our server was so helpful, charming, and made the evening a lot of fun. Will absolutely go back. Highly recommend!

If this place was in Newport or Costa Mesa it would be fully booked. If you want some awesome Italian food, drive out here and give it a try. A shame it doesn’t get more traffic because it deserves it. The gnocchi and cannoli rivals anywhere in

We had dinner at Bar One last night. We had the best experience. Our waiter Francisco was the best. All his recommendations were great. We had the mozzarella in Carrozza for our appetizer. We'll never eat mozzarella sticks again. It was amazing. He recommended the Seafood Ravioli which was great. My husband had the special pork chop dish. It was the best he's ever had. He recommended the dessert that was a bread pudding. It was so good. This is a family owned business and will be moving soon to a new location. We will be back.

The food service and ambiance is 10 out of 10, it's homey the best food always you can taste the love and care put into everything from appetizers to desert. Best fried mozzarella and bread pudding EVER, hands down. I could go on and on but really you need to experience the love and comfort yourself. Love love love everyone who works here the love and care shines through in all aspects.

We had a great New Year's Eve dinner there. The specials were terrific! We didn't order anything off of the menu....maybe next time. We split a cannoli for dessert and it was one of the best we've ever had.

I hosted my office holiday party here and it was absolutely fantastic. From the planning with Dumetella to the service by Pepe, it was a smooth and flawless experience. One of the best Caesar salads by far, each meal was elegantly presented and delicious. Despite the rainstorm the restaurant ensured that our seating was dry and comfortable. Thank you Bar One for this lovely lunch party.

The meat sauce has not really come together but the overall flavor was great. The beschamel sauce was a bit runny, I prefer out a bit thicker, but then again, the flavor was good. Service was great. The pricing is more than the value in my opinion.

Pepe our server described the specials. We started with appetizers the Fritlo Misto which had fried calamari, octopus, and shrimp in addition to the special thin pizza with small pepperoni drizzled with a honey glaze. Then on the specials a Sea Bass, Pork Chop, Pasta with Chicken Vodka Sauce and Chicken Parmigiano. We had to end with Connoli's and Tiramisu. Everything was so flavorful and fresh. Out door patio had twinkling lights and heaters which made the ambiance perfect.

Beautiful place for having our company xmas party. Food was great and so were the drinks. The place is a lot bigger than what I anticipated. Loving the whole modern rustic look. They have a garage door to divide private parties from regular diners. High tables all around. Heaters are must in part of the restaurant and patio. The bathrooms says HERS and HIS. Very cute & decorated especially for #NoSelfieControl pix. Literally, the restrooms are just a big photodrop. So take them pix. I did. Lol.

The special raviolini pasta with fresh White truffle shaving are fantastic the chef gets the best white truffles I wait every year in season for one month Pricey but worth every penny

The food was enormously overpriced. A member of the wait staff introduced us to lunch specials with a fanfare that was worthy of Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills. No prices mentioned. The result was a $42.00 dish of postage stamp sized ravioli which had been used earlier to stuff pillows. I couldn't get beyond eating 1/3 of the portion.

New comer to this part of town, staying at a nearby hotel. Conveniently located near to several large hotels in the area. Was recommended by the valet manager as a good Italian family restaurant. Very nice inside ambiance with a larger area by the bar. Came close to closing (about an hour) on a Tuesday so very slow. Had the very nice OC IPA on draft. Asked the server about a side salad, but was told the regular $14 one was on the small side and that's all they had. Ordered the Lasagna Romagonla, which smelled delicious but was completely flat. Looks like they took a serving and let it go all flat in the oven? It hit the spot for me after a long flight, but its size left me still hungry. (Which a few beers solved) I wouldn't call it in the top 5 of favorite lasagna entries I ever had, but maybe living in Chicago has me biased? So not that impressed with the brothers Barone at this point. Maybe try something else next time.

We love any restaurant the Barones run! We celebrated tons of milestones at the original Il Barone and tonight dined at Bar One. Delicious food including homemade foccacia, veal Milanese and cacio e Pepe! As well as delicious espresso martinis! The environment feels warm and inviting like you are being welcomed into Donatella's home. The food is impeccable, the service is phenomenal and we can't wait to go back!
