The place is very cozy. It also opens early, which is very nice. The employees are friendly, and overall the cafe is great. The matcha though wasn’t really good, but we still enjoyed the visit.

Beautiful little cafe with the cutest mugs and the tastiest drinks I have ever tasted! We went back again the next day because we enjoyed the atmosphere and aesthetics so much. This is a terrific breakfast/brunch spot. Great atmosphere - bright and fun, and more importantly, they have tons of gluten-free and plant-based options. We've gone to brunch 3 times since they've opened. Our favorites are: *All I Avo Wanted - Blue corn, waffle, smashed avocado, feta, shaved radish, over easy egg, chili flakes, hemp seeds, salsa macha (gf) * Side of beet-cured salmon * Charcoal Waffle - Activated charcoal Belgian waffle, date coconut cream, strawberries, banana, house-made granola, house-made nutella (gf,v) In addition, they have several GF pastry options as well. The only complaint is the coffee. We are avid black coffee & espresso drinkers. We found the coffee (and espresso drinks) during all three visits quite bitter and acidic. It was difficult to drink and hard on our stomachs. We've decided to get something else to drink for our next visits.

Came here to try its pastry and had the chocolate pie. It was delicious! But for $12 I'll come back for something else. The cafe looks chic with bright pastel colors and one wall was painted with pretty giant parakeets! The service was friendly.

Love this place as I am gluten free, dairy free & sugar free! They even have pastries with no sugar added! This was my 2nd time at this location in 24hrs. We came down from LA for a wedding & I got the Macrobiotic Bowl with Grilled Salmon both times. This bowl is delicious, filling, warm & gf/sf/df. Picked up an oatmeal chocolate chip cookie too this second time once I looked at the pastry ingredients more. The staff is also really helpful and amazing service, the manager, was so helpful when I ordered a cold bowl by mistake, she helped me to order this warm bowl & really went above and beyond to help. Thank you!!! I look forward to stopping by the Brentwood location in LA

Noise level is off the charts. I ordered the almond butter toast with berries. The toast was so hard I couldn’t cut it with a serrated knife. Waffle was dry. Breakfast burrito was dripping with what looked like Velveeta. Coffee was bitter. $80 for three dishes that were poor quality plus bad ambience doesn’t make sense. Crystal Cove patrons expect more.
This was my first time here today and I have been really excited to try it out. I was welcomed warmly and my eyes lit up as soon as I saw the interior and felt the vibe. I was met by Damian who is the supervisor here and placed my order. I spent time planning ahead what I wanted to get, but he was happy to offer any suggestions and told me all about the beautiful pastries and baked goodies they make, all in house. Everything is well stocked and perfectly organized. The food is so fresh, well presented and made with care. I can’t say enough about this place. Perfect location and views of the ocean. It doesn’t get better than this. Go check this place out and bring your friends and family with you.

We went right before closing for an after dinner dessert. The staff was super friendly and welcoming. It's a cute vibe. Booth seating. Quiet so you're able to have a relaxed conversation and/or do some work/studying. The pastries were DELICIOUS! We tried the oatmeal and the vegan chocolate cookies. Both were devine. Coffee hit the spot as well. They also serve a variety of teas, fresh cold press juices, wellness gels and healthy food options.

Super cute place with delicious food! My only complaint is the high prices and limited food menu. The portions are large but my goodness, they're steep. The greens and grains bowl is great by itself , without any added protein. The vegan chocolate chip cookie is yum! And if you eat inside and they offer you hot sauce, beware it is SPICY! Definitely take advantage of getting 20% off your first order.

What keeps us coming back is the outstanding service from their staff. Manager is there daily greeting us offering excellent service. Our favorite team member is Damien he is always joyful and remembers my drink order every time! Grateful for parakeet it's may go to place for the best matcha in town!!

4.8 stars!!!! The food is unbelievable! So fresh and so yummy. I got the Harvest toast and added a scrambled egg (they'll do it however you like). It has fresh heirlooms, which were perfectly juicy! Fresh basil! Just so delicious. The coffee is great! So much to choose from. Highly recommend!! Service was incredible. Everyone is so kind.
