Our server, JC, was top notch!! It was our first time last night. We absolutely lucked out with the best server they have there! His food and drink recommendations were stupendous. I got the guava margarita with tajin and my boyfriend got the spicy cucumber margarita with tajin. Incredible! We also ordered a naked guacamole (because we can't have dairy), the barbacoa, and the duck tacos. AMAZING!! We absolutely want to come back for brunch and bring our friends, just to sit in JC's section. There were several birthday parties in the main dining room and JC has a beautiful singing voice. Next time I'm going to request a special song, even if it isn't my birthday! ;-P Shoutout to the manager, Victor, and the whole team at Sol. Everyone took such great care of us!

Celebrated my mom’s birthday there on Sunday and we had so much fun! Our waiter Adam did an amazing job with our group of 15 people! He managed to keep calm and collected, was friendly , attentive and never once frazzled always upbeat and helpful. The restaurant also accommodated our big group which was a plus as I had called the Beachcomber in Crystal cove and they would not accommodate our group. I highly recommend this place for a big group and celebration. Also our happy birthday singer who I forgot his name so sorry was so fun and has a great voice! Definitely a highlight of our visit.

Guacamole Sol with goat cheese, guacamole and peppitas was so delicious! Drinks were amazing. I had the King Salmon salad and it was delicious too! Especially the beet and yam chips. The best part of the night was the service. Hostess and server were on point. I would definitely recommend Sol!Parking: Free parking is north of the restaurant in the marina lot.

Highly recommended! I was here on Thursday, April 4, everything was great from the beginning, staff was very welcoming and were always making sure we were ok. Manager Karen was also very wonderful she made sure we were ok. It was our first time here and Karen was very helpful giving us some recommendations, to which I’m glad she did. Food was delicious. Thank you and highly recommend this place we are very happy with our visit.

Visited Sol fora birthday dinner Since my last visit was a 5 star, I was looking so forward to try a different dish. This time I went with the short rib barbacoa. The food arrived promptly but on all honesty I cannot give it more than 3 stars. The portion was great but approximately 60% of my short rib was pure fat and not edible. The taste was ok but in my opinion could use a kick. My wife ordered carnitas which she also ordered last time and it was a solid choice. Overall a bit underwhelmed but maybe my expectation was too high. I was so surprised that the restaurant was not packed on Easter Sunday.

Great service coupled with tasty dishes made for a great night. Cocktails were perfect and priced well. Great seats and view on the marina. I had the shrimp Caesar salad. The salad portion was great, however I was surprised the shrimp was so spicy. I could not eat shrimp they were so hot. Spice was not mentioned on the menu. All other food was delicious.

Our adult children brought us here for lunch, it was incredible!Kid-friendliness: Our two grandkids were with us and we had a great time!
They took about 1 hour to serve the food and what we order didn't have it and the tequila I wanted Don Julio Real didn't have it either and they substituted some of the ingredients .will not go back there if you're going to sale a 5 dollar taco at least make the taco look

Food was ok. Nothing special. Waiter was good. Hostess was snooty and condescending. She knocked over someone's drink that was under the desk and spent five minutes complaining about it and trying to find out who left the drink there rather than just dealing with it and moving on, keeping guests waiting and tying up three other staff members while she over-dramatized the whole thing. I should have left then. But I was glad to have finally tried the restaurant. It had been recommended to me. It was nice to see the boats outside the window. I probably won't bother to go back.

Our food took a really long time. And by the time I got my dish I could tell it was just sitting out too long. It was lukewarm and they forgot my 3eggs ontop so by the time they brought my eggs I was done with the first part of my dish (papi papas). I was disappointed.
