I really hate having to write this review but I feel like it needs to be said. My fiance and I are regulars to this spot and have always loved the food and the service, the whiskey bbq burger is our favorite burger of all time, we will come here just for the burger sometimes. However, the past 2 times we have come have been way less than what we’ve come to know and love from this place. Our last visit we brought my father in law along to try the burger and the burgers came out completely burnt and salty, we had asked for them to be remade and they were the same burnt after the remake and we had to wait almost an hour for our original orders. This time we came and they were understaffed and I totally understand that, but we ordered an order of zucchini and a burger and after an hour and a half we were informed there’s no one to cook the food. We have been given a refund and told that they can’t make the burger but will make an order of zucchini. It’s been over 30 minutes since we were told that and still haven’t received anything. It really is a shame because we absolutely love this bar and are regulars here but after this we are not sure whether we will be returning

Whiskey cheeseburger was really good. Band was awesome, just a little too loud after a couple of hrs. We'll be back for sure.

My wife and I used to be here every other weekend. We know many of the regulars and loved the bartenders. Since new ownership has taken over a few years ago it has slowly gone down hill. They have recently lost a few of their best bartenders. The Friday/Saturday night crowd seems to have thinned out. The biggest issue is the prices. They have a $10 cover charge at night and drinks have gotten smaller but prices have gone up. I ordered 3 mixed drinks with Vodka and the total was $39 before tip. No bar near here charges anywhere close to this price for the same drinks in this small of a cup. There are plenty of better country bars within 25 minutes driving distance.

Love this place. I came with my wife and 3 kids (23,21,19) last Saturday and everyone had a great time. Drinks are good and fries are a good snack. It's a bit small and free dance lessons if you arrive before 7:30pm. Was a bit bummed. We showed up at 7:31 and 7:33 and had to pay $10 but rules are rules.

I was racially profiled here while going to see my uncles band perform. I don't exactly have blonde hair and blue eyes like the rest of my family, and look more or less latina. I asked the 3 white women in the front if I would be covered since my uncle is their entertainment for the evening. If not, no biggie! Doesn't hurt to ask. 2 of the 3 of these women ignored my existence, one scanned my ID for a good 20 seconds, and standoffishly replied, "no sorry" I respond, "No problem! Here's $10, thanks!" ... no response back. I meet up with the rest of my white-looking family (about 10 people) just to find out not one of them paid to get in after mentioning my uncle's band, not even family friends. And no, they didn't arrive before the cover charge. They were charging by the time my family arrived-- after 10pm. Lol, was actually speechless. Besides the blatant racism, I enjoyed my time here! Such a fun lively atmosphere, but maybe don't come if you're half mexican

I came to the Whiskey River for Taco Tuesday on 11/28/2023, since I it being advertised on one country radio stations. So I wanted to give it a try, however I was very disappointed with the tacos. They were mediocre at best. I ordered some chicken tacos which I didn't like so I ordered some beef tacos. After waiting for an hour for them, I asked the bartender what happened to my order, and all she could say was that they were short handed. So I went ahead and canceled my order & got my money back. This is definitely my first & last time I come here for Taco Tuesday.

Although I had fun I would not return until their political flags come down. Too bad that they have them up bc I have a lot of friends and family that would like this place. No need to post flags and call any woman a ho especially the vp. Women work extra hard to get where they are at. Support all. Disappointed that they don't support women that work har but willing to show support a man that is a pig.

First off the cover charge is ridiculous!!!! I've been here several times. After having a few beers and asking for soda water we were charged 8.00 for 2. Like what?! We spent money on drinks and cover charge and now for soda water WTH??? Never again!!
