Local guide here, if you're looking for good tamales and champurrado this is the place. They have to be some of the best tamales ive had next to my moms. I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to get their tamale fix.
I love this place, when I lived in Los Angeles I would often drive down there. I now live in Northern California and I was there during the Christmas holidays and stopped by for my fix and took some back home with me?

Now simply called Tamales House (on Nordhoff). Been coming here since 2000s when my kids were attending OLP School. A whole in the wall. This time, I bought some for potluck. Everyone who tasted it at the party loved it. The masa is cooked to perfection! When you place your order, they ask if you like to buy it cold or hot. I always get them hot.
