I was pleasantly surprised by this little hole in the wall. This place is located in a shabby little strip where there's a Yum Yum and a hair salon. The inside decor is not the most inviting and neither was the lady that was there but she slowly warmed up. She seemed surprised that anyone came in. It was a Saturday at 3pm and the place was empty. We started with some delicious Jamaica and some chips and salsa. Salsa was good and hot! Here's what we got: -Milanesa Torta - tasty. The roll was authentic and it had good flavor -Carne Asada Tacos - these were good. The tortillas are handmade and they're delicious. The tacos could've used more meat but they were good. -Mojarra Frita - whole tilapia fried to perfection and served with they're delicious tortillas and rice and beans. The beans were delicious but the rice needs some work. -Cheese Quesadilla - this was just okay. The guacamole was the best part. Overall I am giving it 4 stars because the tortillas were on point. The best birria I've tasted thus far. I will be coming here more often because I'm sure the rest of the menu is going to be great too! The service was so upscale. our orders were taken in a timely matter and the attention given when we got our food was amazing felt like as if I was family being attended to. Although this was my first time. But the first of many more visits when Im in the area.

Because of COVID takeout was the only option. Called ahead and food was ready in 15 mins. Lots of local specialties that aren't available other places. Morisqueta is an excellent local dish, nice mix of rice, beans, reddish salsa and costillas. Tacos dorados are really good too, as are the uchepos, kind of like an airy sweet tamale with green salsa and crema on top. All really good. Prompt service. Good prices.

Food is great, no complaints about it, but the service is horrible and it's too pricey as well.I ordered a small plate of birria and a coffee, in the little portion of the birria they gave me, I could taste how tasty it is and they gave me 4 large tortillas and with the little bit of birria, (which was more conzomé) that they gave me, I only ate 2 and they never gave me my coffee .. Aaah, and that when I ordered, I also paid right away.

I love the original birrieria apatzingán, so I was excited to see their second restaurant. I went yesterday around 1pm for the first time, and the first thing that caught my eye was the amount of space and how vibrant the restaurant looked compared to their original one in pacoima. The detail was on point. However, our server, who was also the cashier and food runner, did not do her job to accommodate us and assist us. She was all over the place, running, and hustling- and I was in confusion because there were only 3 tables ? I ordered a cup of water - never got it. My guest ordered a cup of ice- never got it. ( These were our first drink orders) She asked us if we wanted tortillas with our meals and we said yes... she forgot about our tortillas and it took 15 min for her to get them. I ordered 4 tacos dorados with rice and beans... and the food was decent. It's definitely nothing compared to the original restaurant. I couldn't quite find the freshness in my plate .. the rice and beans seemed sour and with no flavor, but the tacos were nice and crunchy and had me wanting more. Not only were we not satisfied during the lunch service, a man called her out in front of the guests for being non attentive to host and acknowledged his presence to receive his order. going back to the original restaurant in pacoima . disappointed
