Absolutely love this place! Not the fanciest, but the prices are great, the potions can’t be beat, and the man who owns the place is so kind. Cash only and no delivery are the only major downsides, but for take out it is my go-to Chinese place.

Literally Nohos best kept secret for Chinese Food! Its easy to miss but if you know you know. Its CASH ONLY, and mainly take out, theres only one person making the food from scratch, so be patient and maybe order ahead. Try it out and support this OG spot for years to come.

I’m so glad I found this place. The orange chicken was awesome. We also really enjoyed the veggie lo mein. The owner was super friendly and made our order from scratch as soon as we ordered it. I will definitely be returning!Vegetarian options: There is a decent selection of vegetarian dishes. I didn’t see any items specifically labeled as vegan but the owner is super friendly and I’m sure would prepare anything to your liking.

What a score! Fresh food, good prices, helpful owner/operator. It's cash only and I was a couple bucks short so he told me to pay him back next time. What a cool guy! If you're thinking about ordering take out, this is the spot.

Solid place for cheap American Chinese takeout. Went in person to pick up. Looks like more of a takeout place but they have some seating. I do recommend calling ahead of time because there was only one worker and my order took 30ish minutes.Nevertheless he was really nice and I got two entrees, chow mein, chicken fried rice, and the fried chicken wings. He threw in a free order of rice. All of that was $45 which is crazy good nowadays.Orange chicken was solid, not heavy on the breading like some places and the sauce was well balanced with an ample orange flavor. The Mongolian beef was really good. Very tender. All around solid place if you’re craving cheap Chinese takeout.

This is not fair. I'm super hungry Let's go. A quick review with more to come for sure. For now, 4 Star = I'm a fan LOCATION/ PARKING THIS IS TO GO FOOD ONLY * Yes. There are tables inside, but take it and find a spot to eat elsewhere. There's some street parking and immediately behind for quick pick up. !! I'm trying to remind myself to eat slowly, but failing !! Hunger is real. SERVICE - Excellent There are reviews here claiming poor or hostile service. I think this might be an attempt to keep all new people away. The owner was VERY NICE and said that my dish would take a few minutes to prepare because he had other orders ahead of mine. Ok no problem waiting. BUT IT WAS STILL VERY FAST! Barely time to watch a news segment about dogs waiting for adoption playing on the in-store television. FOOD VEGETARIAN option number one for me is always LO MEIN. soft oily saucy tangy fat noodles - Like the ones I'd get from the Chinese spot on the corner in NYC. I would like more bean sprout And onions, but I didn't ask. Next time. $7 If I'm honest, this is enough food for two meals of noodles. I kid myself into believing I'm carb loading for running, and I walked here - so I can eat the whole container. I'll go through the whole veggie menu here if I can. Summer goals. PRICE affordable. Prices aren't updated, but affordable adjusted for inflation since old photos. CASH ONLY.

This hole in a wall restaurant is pretty straightforward and seems to be run by one man. The portions are plentiful, and very affordable. The food itself was not the best Chinese food I've ever had. The chow mein and mixed veggies were four out of five. The beef and broccoli was three out of five. The orange chicken was the least favorite and I would give it two out of five. A few things to note before visiting: - I suggest ordering by phone ahead of time and asking for the total. - It's cash only so bring cash. - Parking is limited to street parking. - The menu he has displayed is from ages ago with prices and menu items that are no longer the present day items or prices. So make sure you ask what is available and confirm the prices with the owner. - There is no dining in -- only to go orders.

I'm glad I found this place but wish I found it sooner. Authentic Chinese food! This place is only to go and CASH only so prepared. The food takes a little while because it's cooked fresh but worth it! The owner is super sweet and funny ! I've been here already a couple times and it does not disappoint! The lo mein are really good noodles, not to thick. The kung pao chicken is so good but don't be fooled by the chilis it's not spicy.

Bummer that a few "reviewers" were so butthurt about not getting their soup that they felt the need to leave one-star reviews... without even trying the food. Some things to keep in mind with Hot Wok: It's cash only, mainly take out (he only has a couple of tables), and it's a one-man show. This means he may be too busy at times to even take your order. Other times, he can have your order ready in 10 minutes. There is a wonderful freshness to his food. It all comes out piping hot with quality ingredients. He uses all white meat in his chicken dishes, and his lo mein is addicting. Aside from having kick ass food, Hot Wok is also the best bang for your buck in town. Each dish is around $8-9. He'll throw in as much free steamed rice as you'd like. Make sure to tip him well! Highly recommend.

This restaurant doesn't deserve even one star. I tried to place an order, but I decided not to. The person who's taking my order was rude and disrespectful and he even trying to point his finger at me and talk to me like I am stupid. I asked him if I can order soup and he told me he can't make it that the soup takes 20-30 minutes. Like who cares? I am willing to wait and that's what I want. If you don't want to make money and take an order just shut and close your restaurant. I see people love their food. I guess it's because they added extra seasoning and they do some magic from their dirty nasty kitchen. The restaurant kitchen was nasty and their phone was nasty and full of dirt. Don't come here!
