I was recommended to Tiko and all the team from Special Cakes By Ruben by my friend. I needed special cake to my co- worker Birthday. What I can say ? The best cake I ordered in my life. My friend was so happy. Thank you guys to make our celebration so special! I will recommend you to all my friends and family! You are amazing!

Well, where to begin. I had ordered two cakes from them, one for my kids christening and one for my daughter's birthday, both on the same day. I also ordered 8 mini birthday cakes for a few of our guests. Our party started at 6 and the cakes were suppose to be delivered by 5pm as we wanted to do the cake cutting before our guests arrived. I have a 3 month old and I was hoping to send him home right after. Unfortunately, our cake didn't arrive until close to 7 when most of our guests had arrived. I called numerous times and the lady I spoke to had the audacity to say "we had other cakes to deliver, yours wasn't the only one" She was condescending, rude and seriously lacked customer service skills. Around 9:30 the DJ announced the guest birthdays and the mini cakes are were missing. I called again and after 3 attempts she answers the phone and had the nerve to tell me "you guys called so many times I forgot the cakes. On top of everything, I had requested that all of the cake be real. I don't like those fake decorative cakes. Upon cutting the cake we realized only 2 tiers were real. With the prices they charge they need to seriously brush up on the customer service skills. It's unfortunate because they're cakes are truly beautiful.

I agree with Katarina K.'s comment below. The girl who works there, (not Zhana) has poor customer service. Her tone was very disrespectful. I was a client who ordered two cakes from them. I simply asked if the pick up time could be earlier. Her tone was very condescending. She could have simply answered with a no and a reason. Instead, she raised her voice over the phone. I was already stressed because I was organizing the event. This girl who answered the phone made me even more stressed. Don't select this bakery if you are the coordinator. Her customer service skills need significant improvement. Her tone of voice must change when dealing with paying customers. Paying customers or non paying customers should receive good customer service. Never ordering from them again.

My mom had very recently called them to inquire about cake pricing for my wedding cake and the woman who answered the phone was extremely rude! Not only did she answer with a rude hello! but also failed to answer her questions. We just wanted to know estimated pricing and how the process of ordering a wedding cake works (as we've never ordered a wedding cake before) and she said that she doesn't care who we are or what the event is and that all cakes are priced depending on what we want. My mom asked her for an estimate starting price (other bakeries we made inquires to did give us one) and she said that she can't give us a price, that we were yelling and being rude. Keep in mind... my mom was super nice. We ended up not getting any of our questions answered and she told us that she doesn't even have availabilities on the day of our event, which wasn't even the day we wanted! She named a date that falls on a Monday. After my mom kindly asked her to speak more kindly to her and that it wasn't right for her to talk like that to customers, she angrily expressed that she can talk however she wants with whoever she wants and hung up the phone. It's such a shame because they were recommended to us by another family member who has used them multiple times. They not only lost our business but also future business from our family member.

Special Cakes By Ruben - City made the most beautiful cake ever for my son's 1st birthday party. She made a "You are my sunshine" themed cake. Best part is, that she includes a free smash cake!!! It was a bit pricey, but the cake was definitely the hit of the party! I would order from her again.

I truly appreciate this bakery's great service. Anni and Zhanna were great to work with on my son's wedding reception dessert bar and cake. Everything was delicious and elegant. The cake was very fresh. They both were so gracious and patient with my husband and I during the dessert tasting. They have a vast selection of cute baked goodies for the dessert bar. From miniature Cappuccino cups to chocolate dipped strawberries to raffaello coconut balls to cake pops to eclairs to vanilla mousse cups to tiramisu cups to macaroons, and they were all made with white and gold to match my white flowers and gold vases. I am so relieved I don't have to shop around for a baker for my next happy event. I will go straight to Anni and Zhanna with my order confident enough they'll do an impeccable dessert table for me.

Not a good experience with this store. I picked up a cake for a children's birthday party. It was just handed to me in my hands. I couldn't believe for $300 that cake wouldn't come in a box! We have to hold it in the car and hope it makes it to his destination. The cake was very dry, fingerprints all over the fondant. I don't recommend this store

I ordered a cake, sat down with the woman who works there, brought a picture, she printed it out, made notes based on what I wanted- yet the cake came out with two specific things I asked not to do. I specifically asked for no cake topper because my sister had one specially made. And when she printed the picture somehow it printed the top muave/champagne part pink so she made a note NO PINK. My cake came pink, and with a cake topper that ruined the top. Be careful to triple check for what you request!!
