This is the best sub sandwich in the Valley. I've tried them all. Better than all subs, the bread is done on a plancha and has the absolute perfect combo of crunch and chew -one of a kind. The owner has kept the consistency that has existed since I was a kid. The bread, meats, construction and relishes are spot on perfect. Order which sub you want and let the man behind the counter do the rest. There's only one Balboa Sub Shop.
I've been there twice, ordered the same sandwich ?: 10 inch spicy cold cut combo with everything. Absolutely bomb ?! They rival Giamela's in Burbank. Just go there and order what I did. You'll love it.
