Dined in here super last minute right before Iftar. Definitely worth the sit down. Great food . Had the Lamb Bukhari, the meat was so tender it was falling off the bones ! The rice was amazing with the side of yogurt and green sauce . The person that took our order was super sweet as she knew we were fasting she gave us some Dates and got our food in just in time. Definitely a go back. If you're in the area for a good Lamb Shank! This is the spot , give them a try you won't regret it !

The older lady that worked there took a while before noticing i was a customer. I asked for white rice for my plate, she still gave me fried rice. There was a big portion of rice, the hummus was not thick n creamy, it was watery. The portion of the chicken was small, not like the pictures on the menu. She was a nice lady, but the service.

Came on a rainy winter night. The owner was very kind and welcoming. It was my first time having afghan food, and it was great! I got the ashak which are a dumpling with yogurt and tomato sauce. I was dinning alone so I just tried one dish, looking forward to coming back and trying more! Be prepared to wait a little as it is just one person doing everything.

So delicious!!! Got the qabuli Palao and the chicken sandwich and both were 10/10. The owner is very sweet and really puts love into the dishes! Will come

I had the pleasure of dining at this Afghan restaurant, and it exceeded all my expectations. The service was prompt and friendly, making us feel like valued guests. The food was a revelation; the flavors were exquisite, and the portions were generous. The ambiance was cozy and authentic, transporting me to the heart of Afghanistan. Whether you're a fan of Afghan cuisine or new to it, this restaurant is a must-visit. I can't wait to return for more delightful experiences.

Felt bad for the lady working all alone on Friday. Visited in dreams of De Afghanan quality food in mind but ended up with so much due to lack of sanitation and over priced food. Being fair and not blaming the lady all alone dealing with customers service and cooking but the food costed almost double the prices compared to what I've always paid for the same food in the Bay Area. It was potato Bolani only but we ended up with 2 different ones without any acknowledgment of what's put in our box. I heard the take out customer before us rejected the Gandana bolani and the aunty put it in my bolani box (the best assumption after seeing two different orders in our plate and the price we had to pay).

The owner herself was working there closing on a Friday night. This is the definition of a small business. The food tasted great and everything was clean and what I expect in a small restaurant. I had a nice conversation with the owner too. They've been in business since 1990 but she bought the business 7 years ago and has been trying to grow it since.

What a gem of a Halal Kitchen Cafe! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly by the staff. The service was impeccable throughout our meal. Now, let's talk about the food – it was a culinary journey to Afghanistan. Every dish was packed with flavors that transported us. The ambiance was charming, with soft lighting and traditional decor. This place truly captures the essence of Afghan cuisine and culture. Highly recommended!

A must try, especially if you’ve never had afghan food before but wanted to try. This place is definitely family owned, and the sweet woman working was the only one there. As a tip- I would recommend you don’t come here starving as the food takes a minute to get to the table. But don’t take that as a negative, the portions are huge so you won’t leave hungry. The lady was so kind and gave us a free Bolani, which is a potato and leek stuffed flatbread and it was crispy and full of flavor. Not to mention the spicy green sauce was incredible. We ordered the chicken afghan plate that comes with salad, kebabs, and kabuli (afghan spiced rice). And also the ashak and mantu, both of which are dumplings that have great spice (the mantu has beef). 100% recommend this little hole in the wall to anyone

Horrible food!! Reheated, old bolani. We ordered 2 orders of bolani and threw it allll away. The bread was so old and dry that we couldn't even bite into it. I don't know why it is so hard to service fresh food.

Simply the best lamb I’ve ever had. Flavor and texture beyond compare, this was my first time and I’ll be bringing everyone I know here. Wonderful service as well!
