I love this place usually but wtf is up with this portion size. It's like A SIDE OF BEEF. Not a full on meal. Shocking. Definitely sticking to the bbq chicken for good now and the fried rice since I dont trust the portion sizes moving forward.
Thai Original BBQ & Restaurant is part of a chain in a Northridge stripmall. Two rooms, the side room is big enough to hold a banquet. The crystal clear acquarium is its only notable center piece. Nice, quiet, efficient service. The waiter was kind enough to point out that I could get a better deal in getting the dinner special than ordering the same item à la carte. If I'm being completely honest, I have been going here since I was a child. It may not be the best, but it definitely is a family friendly place with decent food. They have good service as well, never waiting to get my water refilled. (also there's no way someone was complaining about getting too big of a side...) Order S2 with a cucumber salad and you'll be fine.
