I am suspicious of the 5* ratings on this place. I will agree with other reviewer that place is friendly and I really wanted to like it. But the to go food is marginal at best. The #18 was supposed to come with taco, tamale and chili relleno. Taco was soggy (forgivable in to go), tamale was okay, but the relleno was not included. I always get a relleno the first time I try a Mexican restaurant; that and mole are my reference items. The side of refried beans were terrible. I have never had anything so offensively bland before (closest experience was poi at a bad luau). We also got a carne asada Mi Burrito. It was good size and tasted okay (if beans were in there, they added nothing), but meat was not tender. Sorry to be so critical. I think it's an honest review. Not getting the relleno didn't help though. There are so many really good Mexican restaurants in this area.

I would like to begin by commending the management and staff for their friendliness. Every time I visit, I have always been greeted and thanked by a member of their staff. Even on their busiest nights they maintain a friendly demeanor and acknowledge my presence. They are more than to happy to answer any questions about the menu, and I appreciate their patience. I also appreciate that they always take the time to notify me about the wait time before taking my order, and payment. Their food is just as amazing! My go to order is the California burrito. The meat is juicy and tender, plus the fries are hot and fresh! It's the perfect portion, I usually only eat half but I always devour this one! I will definitely keep returning and try to explore more items on the menu!

Amazing...always good and fresh. Staff is ALWAYS friendly and helpful even when they are busy. I love the pozole and menudo, but be sure to ask for no pata if you don't want a surprise.

This review is for the Cerritos location... For $13, that's $11 + $2 tip, I was expecting amazing... all I got was disappointment. I ordered a carne asada burrito tonight and OMG it was more like a beans beans and beans with rice burrito and a small side of carne asada. I think their logo has a donkey on it for a reason. Because they make an a** of all their customers with the quality of product they are serving. I took a couple pictures of this poor excuse for a carne asada burrito. The meat is actually delicious, so I'm leaving 2 stars for the taste but would rather leave 0 stars for the quality. I should've just gone to Alberto's. At least I know when I order a carne asada burrito there, that's all I'm getting is a carne asada.

Yummy Food. Taco Tuesday Happy Hour is amazing. Friendly Staff... family feel. This is conveniently located near Mall, but not in Mall. Parking is never an issue.

My favorite spot for burritos around the Cerritos area! The workers there are so kind and welcoming. I got the Mi Burrito with shredded beef and red+green sauce and my boyfriend got the California Burrito (so good!!! i kept taking bites of his burrito) I highly recommend going here for some great quality mexican food! They have outdoor dining and takeout. Definitely stop by when you can!

Great local spot for burritos and more. Me and my SO ordered one grilled chicken mi burrito to share, and it was definitely enough for the both of us. We got it with half red sauce and half green. Green sauce was a little spicy even though the hostess said they would have the same level of spice. I didn't mind too much, but my SO has a low spice tolerance, so that was a bit of a curve ball lol. Overall a really nice spot with yummy food! :) Great for sharing too! I could imagine picking up a few burritos for a small get together or family dinner, after it's safe of course.

We love this place. We ate here often before Covid, took out during Covid, and are back for outdoor dining again. My kids and I love the mini chimis, husband loves the carne asada wet burrito, and the wine margaritas are delicious. Service is always amazing, place is clean, and I'm glad they've survived the lockdowns.

I've come here since they opened, and the food is consistently amazing! They have huge portions and the price is really good for what you get. The staff is always so nice and quick and nothing I've ordered has been a disappointment! Every order has been fantastic!

My family ate here and got a bunch of different things, including burritos, platters, tacos etc. everything was very mediocre. Nothing stood out. Meat was dry too on most dishes. Wouldn't go back here.

For my Team Member Appreciation luncheon we enlisted the help of the Mi Burrito team Placed the order and the price was right and they even delivered to us Everything they sent us was awesome! The enchiladas (Cheese, chicken & beef) were excellent and the sauce was possibly the best I have had The rice was amazing. I could have just eaten that! The taquitos were super flavorful as were the beans Unfortunately for the team we did not have the ability to share the guacamole, salsa and chips due to the Covid protocols we have to follow at store level Anyway, if you live anywhere near the Cerritos/Artesia area, check this place out You will make your stomach very happy! I know it did that for my team!

So my wife and I came here one day before going to Costco one day and me being the wet burrito fanatic I am, I ordered a red wet burrito from this place and she ordered a torta. The prices were decent, not super inexpensive but whatever, the pictures looked good on Yelp. I got my burrito and it was huge! Looked super appealing and came with a side of chips and guacamole. Her torta was also good but I kept thinking about this burrito. Anyways, today we went to Costco again and were thinking of a place to go when I said "hey let's go to that one place again!" (Meaning this one.) I found it on Yelp the first time and knew it would be in my search history. However, after looking and looking, I couldn't find the name of the place and didn't know how to get there or where it was located. We did some major detective work- looked at bank statements, searched Mexican spots nearby, tried to remember any businesses that were next to this spot. Still nothing. We ended up going to Costco and parking in the exact same spot we were in the first time we found this place on Yelp and finally! We had found it. Today we got two wet burritos, mine only red and hers half and half, red and green, which we didn't even know they did until the very friendly cashier suggested it after she was unsure about where to get red or green sauce. It was her first time getting it and she thought it was amazing! The portion sizes are huge! Tons of meat (we got asada), and has rice, beans, onions, and lettuce inside. A huge glob of guacamole on the side. They had chips the last time to come with our food but maybe they had run out, because they put about 5-6 tostada shells in the bag. I will definitely be coming back even though it is a little far, the food and service is worth it!

I have moved to the area a year and a half ago and I Yelp searched Mexican food and Mi Burrito was at the top of the list. This is the only Mexican restaurant I have been to in the Cerritos area and is the only Mexican restaurant I will go to. They are the best! I've dined in (pre pandemic) and ordered takeout and have always received the best service and the food is great. Every time! I usually order their combination plates (taquitos, tacos, enchiladas, tamales and Chile rellenos) and they're all delicious! They come with rice and beans. I've also had their wet burritos and they are the size of my forearm. So good! What I love about Mi Burrito is that whether you order chicken or beef, they don't skimp on the meat. They're very generous and their portions are more than enough for leftovers the next day. Highly recommend Mi Burrito Grill in Cerritos!

If you're in the mood for a monster size burrito, this is the place. I ordered a wet burrito with half red and half green salsa. If you're looking for spicy, choose the green salsa. If you just love salsa, make sure you also add the side salsa provided. I was in the mood for a shredded beef burrito, but my husband accidentally ordered the Machaca burrito. Not bad, but I didn't need the egg added to my meat. Also included in the burrito is beans, rice and cheese, topped with sour cream and guacamole. I ommited the cheese and sour cream. You'll also get a handful of large sized tortilla chips thrown in the bag. We also ordered the Carne Asada wet burrito and the total for both was about $29. Overall, the burritos were good, and we'll be back to try more.
