The tamales were really thin and soft and floppy. I was not a fan. The service was good but the quality was not there

The smallest tamales ever !!!!!

26$ for a dozen tiny tamales. They say made fresh daily but I don't believe that to be true. Some of my rajas had fresh cheese and others the cheese had dried up. The flavor is there, but not for the price. I will stick to my tamale lady and just drive to El Monte.

The tamales were pretty decent. Not as big as other places, but they put a generous amount of meat in them and the flavor was good. I have tasted tamales at other places and usually they are pretty greasy or dry. Tamales are a lot of work, but I feel that these ones are better than many around the area. I tried the pork and beef ones. Will try the elote and rajas w/cheese next time. The people were very nice too, they answered all my questions regarding how they make the tamales.

After reading the reviews. I do agree that the tamales here are tasty and but on the small side. I paid with cash but noticed that had a card machine set up. We ordered the chicken, pork, and beef. It had good meat to masa ratio. Reason I gave it three stars was because some tamales tasted fresh and moist, while the others were drier. Overall I would come back here again to support local business in the area.

For the price and location, I got more than I expected. Food is delicious and service is fast. Food is pre-made but does not taste a day old or anything. I've only tried there tamales.

I went for tamales on a Saturday morning. My daughter is a very picky eater and she wanted tamales so I decided to give this place a try. The reviews I read are true, the tamales are pretty small and they are 2 dollars per... but they are tasty and My daughter loved them. I got there before there was a line which is good because when I left, there was a line. Haha. I'll be visiting them again soon. I just wish the tamales were a but bigger. ALSO THIS PLACE IS CASH ONLY.

This little hole in the wall serves tamales and a couple of plates of food. I went because of the tamales and I this little place has some delicious tamales! I'm not going to lie I saw some of the reviews and heard the tamales are on the smaller side so I ordered 4. Cheese and chicken and they are packed with cheese and chicken and are very tasty! Butttt they are small! I paid $9 for 4 tamales. I would definitely come back for them as they are very flavorful. The service I was assisted by a guy and he seemed very nice!

So the wife and I drove to Santa Fe Springs for other reason. After I yelped for homemade tortillas, during the scroll this restaurant popped up. I thought it was the same "The Tamale Man" like in Torrance. So we drove a few minutes and realized it was a different name and restaurant then the Torrance location. We tried it anyways and I ordered one each for me, chicharron and jalapeño/cheese. Wife had chicken and a jalapeño. Ordered two orange/pineapple agua fresca. The tamales are only $2.00 so I didn't expect them to be big and they weren't; however, what they lacked in size made up in taste. The jalapeño cheese was one of the best tasting combos I've ever had. Very tasty and the right kick of the jalapeño. The chicharron was also good. My wife also thought hers was outstanding and she usually hates food. To top it off the agua fresca was very refreshing with lots of fruit flavor and not sweet like I expected. The only bad thing is that this place is not near our house so we can't come here that often, but I'm sure I'll find an excuse to frequent this new establishment. It's a hole in the wall well deserving of more miles put on my Tacoma. I didn't take any photos because the pictures would not do justice to the taste of the tamales.

Absolutely a great place to eat. Tasty tamales, yummy champurrado, queso Birria tacos , taquitos with guacamole, aguas frescas, and fish tacos too! And I hear they have Menudo on weekends! Im the Mayor of Norwalk and we had an event here last week, "Meet the Mayor" and we had very good food. A little on the smaller side but they have about 6-7 tables with 4 chairs each. I highly recommend this little gem in Norwalk. I wish I would have taken pics of the food. Will post later when I get them from those that attended.
