From the moment we met Rachael and Chef Chad, we had a great feeling about working with them. And frankly, we were blown away by our entire experience. We knew the food was incredible, and it was a bigger testament when our guests came up to us for weeks after the wedding commenting on how good the food was. We had guests going up for seconds and thirds! We had several guests ask us to ask the chef what the recipe was for certain dishes at dinner! People told us it was the best food they've ever had at a wedding, and even one of the most memorable meals they've had ever! Classic Culinaire sets the bar HIGH! To rewind, we went in for our tasting, Rachael graciously explained the process to us. Chef Chad came out at the end of our dishes, and asked for feedback on each dish. More seasoning? Less garlic? More lemon? What Chef does that?! Most chefs we've interacted with have their particular way of preparing each dish, because they've done their dishes the way they know how to for a living. Chef Chad had enough confidence in how amazing his dishes tasted, and he really cared to make the food taste exactly to our liking. We even wanted to do a Philly Cheesesteak as a late night meal at our wedding, and he created one even though it was not on his normal menu. It was delicious! Rachael is such a pleasure to work with. She is beyond helpful at every juncture in the planning process and even helped with our many questions around staffing, rentals, table arrangements and beyond. She was a source of peace and a calming presence during the whole stressful wedding planning process and especially on the day of the wedding. All this to say, I could not recommend this team of all-stars enough!

Classic Culinaire catered our wedding reception and the food was impeccable! We chose 5 of the hors d'oeuvres, plus a cheese and fruit board, and the slider station, as well as the dessert bar and it was the perfect amount for 100 people. The Macadamia Nut Crusted Prawns were a crowd favorite, and the Mushroom Tarts were my personal fave - but everything was truly delicious and beautifully presented. They were informative, responsive, and super easy to work with in the lead up to our big day, and the team on-site was excellent. They even put some of the left over desserts in to-go boxes for guests to take home. Can't recommend Classic Culinaire enough!

They fit our budget and provided high quality service and food. Even our wedding planner was very impressed. We upgraded to the filet mignon and the halibut and glad that we did. During dinner, guests went for seconds, even thirds. ? We we’re very surprised that everyone enjoyed themselves, especially the Vietnamese side who don’t usually eat American foods. Classic Culinaire was on the list of approved caterers for our wedding venue, the Brazilian Room in Berkeley. We emailed back and forth with them and discussed menus. Having good food at our wedding was one of our top priorities. My husband and quite a few of our guests have dietary restrictions, and we wanted to make sure everyone felt taken care of. Rachael and the whole team were all so incredibly thoughtful and accommodating for us. We did a tasting before we signed our contract with them - the service was impeccable and the food was amazing. I'm so disappointed in their customer service. I'm trying to plan a birthday dinner for 6-8 guests. I selected a dining "experience" from their menu, provided my address, and was expecting to receive the service contract and invoice for the $500 deposit. An hour later she replies that a larger party was already booked for that date and they can't offer their services for my party. Waste of time. Also, she didn't offer another date - no conversation or inquiry whether my date is flexible (which it is) - just "best of luck". Rachael is not friendly like the others I have contacted. Her responses are curt and not informative, making me either confused or have to pry for more information. Her first email was basically like 'here's the menu, it's $500 to secure'.. rather than a conversation about options. I understand a larger party is better business but either don't tell say you're ditching me for more money, or at least offer another date!
A group of 16 of us rented a home in Napa for my 50th birthday. Chef Alli and staff were amazing! We chose the tenderloin and halibut and both were mouthwatering! The halibut had been caught that day! The oysters and charcuterie tray to begin with were just what we needed after a long day of winetasting. My special request for a birthday cake was granted and it was fabulous! We definitely recommend and would use Classic Culinaire again!
