The food was very bland & the portions were super small. The margaritas were poorly made although we were charged top dollar for them. $10 for a pint glass filled to the top with ice. Unfortunately the service was also lacking, we were never told about the drink specials for Wednesday which apparently were $4 margaritas, but not the one I ordered! (I heard the other server telling her table). Our server dropped our check off with the food which was strange since we weren't in any hurry. We never saw her after she dropped off our check & another server cashed us out. There was only one other table in the dining area besides us, and just a few people in the bar, so no real reason not to give good service. Don't waste your time or money here, you can find better food & service at Taco Bell.

Both my husband and I ordered the tapatia, my husband found plastic in his salad. The beans had no flavor. The service was horrible we had to keep flagging down our waitress to refill our drinks. But the atmosphere was lovely.

I, as a hispanic, must confess the food is trash if you are looking for authentic mexican food. The service was great and its a comfortable sports bar atmosphere. I ate the food 3/10. I had the chimichanga with chicken. Chicken was dry and their sauce was nasty. They use sour cream instead of cremé which i didn't mind but fyi. Asked 4 people before going in and they all said not to eat there. It is "ytwashed". The drinks were amazing but at $4.50 for a soda, the drinks better be amazing. I personally won't be returning for food unless "Javi" stops cooking and he lets his mom cook.Kid-friendliness: They have high chairs and the wait staff are nice and comforting.
Food was great, the restaurant staff was accommodating to our needs. We needed room for our son in a wheelchair and they moved tables and chairs around to make sure we fit comfortably. That means a lot to me when it comes to service. Would recommend Javi's to anyone who is going to be in Oakdale, Ca. We have been there a few times when we are ever in town (we are from Southern California).

Expected more. Beans bland, picante not salsa. Rice tasteless. What is that cole slaw? Queso is orange. Chimichanga was ok but smaller and no melted cheese. Beef quesadilla was meat, no cheese, no sauce. Pork quesadilla smothered in green sauce. Is this normal?Parking: Not room for an RV. Park on the street .
